Here are some more information for Remarkable Chinese:

Verbal communication refers to the communication that is carried out either in oral or in written form with the use of the words. Verbal communication is characterized by the following three attributes:
Expressing all kinds of ideas
Keeping and disseminating information
More clarified and efficient than other ways
Verbal communication plays an important part in business communication. People from different cultures express themselves in quite different ways. The Chinese people express in a euphemistic and tortuous way, while the westerners tend to be directly getting to the point. The westerners may think Chinese people of wasting time, while the Chinese people will consider the westerners as impatient and cold.
The Chinese people are famous for our hospitality. We try to be attentive to every detail when hosting our guests, but misunderstandings have arisen in communication. A young interpreter was sent to accompany a foreign expert from United State during a business journey. The interpreter always said "You come this way." "Don't walk too fast." "You are old." "You must be very tired." to show his care and politeness. He was satisfied with the job he had done. However, he was surprised that the expert was unwilling to be accompanied by him the next day. He was considered to be impolite for treating the foreign expert as a child. The Chinese people tend to establish friendly relationship by showing hospitality, but self-reliance is stressed in America. Americans believe that they should take care of themselves, solve their own problems and stand on their own feet.
Modesty is one of the Chinese traditional virtues. Suppose a Chinese has done something unusual or has achieved some remarkable progress in some area. When he is appreciated by others, he would say that what he had done was nothing and not worth mentioning.
A foreign teacher praised a Chinese student "Your English is quite fluent." The student responded quickly "No, no, my English is poor." The foreign teacher was confused: surely, your English is quite good, but you disagree with my idea, am I wrong? In the same situation, the westerners usually say "Thank you." when they are praised.

I am so frustrated with my life. How should I move on?
I am so upset because nobody appreciates me. I want to prove to my family and my classmates that I'm somebody great. They think of me as nothing but a not so remarkable personality. I feel so ugly...no body takes me seriously....I have goals of becoming a great actor but it seems not feasible because I am a chinese, I am short(5' 6 for a male), I live far away from hollywood and the US, and I'm ugly....and my parents want me to concentrate on an academic career....and I'm in a school that is so academically heavy that I have no way of developing my art in acting or performing.....and worse, I am incredibly shy.....I have all the odds against me....all I have is very high dreams that seems unreachable......how do I move on?
tell your parents that you want to be taken seriously and tell them that you are going to find a way to pursue what YOU want. say you appreciate them caring about you, and understand that they are just trying to help you but that you have your own hopes and dreams. go to clubs near you or post videos on the internet and hope scouts see you. maybe you could ask teachers to help you out, if there are any teachers you particularly like.
as for you saying your ugly, i am sure that's not true. you might think you are but you are probably not. so what if your Chinese? what about Jackie Chan? he's an actor and he's Chinese. you can do it if you believe in yourself. good luck! x
