Here are some more information for Puppet Doll:

Summer is the best time of the year. The weather is warm, the kids are out of school so there's a laid back schedule and most people are up for lots of fun. However, while it's fun to play outside, sometimes the dog days of summer rear their ugly head and the kids are heard saying in unison, "we're bored!". Here are some fun ideas to keep your children occupied during summer vacation or any time for that matter.
Go to the library. Parents really don't realize how much fun it is to go to the library. Best of all, it's completely free. Our local library has a parent resource center called the P.E.R.C where they check out toys for kids. How great would it be to use toys for free and spend some quality time with your kids while you're at it. Of course at the library you can check out books from pirates to princesses and DVDs. Kids books on tape are also fun for rides in the car or even for just listening to while they're playing. Books are a great way to quietly pass the time. Have your kids write a report of what they read and draw a picture and keep it in a keepsake book.
Have a picnic at the park. There are usually many parks that can help children get energy out and have a good time and practice their social skills with the other kids. This is a perfect way to spend quality time with your kids and to even have some time to socialize with other parents at the park. Invite a friend to make the day extra special.
Turn on the sprinklers. On those hot days, the best way to cool off is to get wet. If you don't have a kiddie pool, you can always turn on the sprinklers and let the kids run through them. This helps water the grass, there's really no clean up like you would have with a pool and the kids are entertained for hours.
Put your creativity to work. The summer is the best time to enhance children's creativity and do some art projects. You can teach your kids how to knit or sew. In our family, our kids love to make pillows and blankets for the dolls and bears. They also love to knit their toys hats using the knifty knitter loom (anyone can do it, it's very easy). They can also write letters to out of state family members or draw pictures of their favorite princess or superhero and hang it on the wall in their room.
Plan a stay-cation. If you're on a budget, spend a week only doing things together. Explore your neighborhood sites. Makes tickets and schedule what you are going to do every day. Get the whole family involved in making these priceless memories.
Check out the local museums. There are usually many museums around that you may have never heard of and most of them are probably free. From animals to natural history, spending time together as a family and learning together go hand in hand in the summer or any time of year.
Play pretend. Our family loves to dress up and put on performances for each other. Make a family play with parts. Even toddlers can participate. From props, to songs, to scripts, the sky's the limit. Puppet shows and storytelling festivals can also be fun. We like to do a princess festival where we dress up as our favorite princess and have Sleeping Beauty's ball where we dance, sing and be silly.
Whatever activity you choose, spend the summer doing things that will bring your family close together this summer.

Puppets as a Learning Tool, to Teach Self-Control - For Your Autistic Child
Your child can be taught self-control by using puppets as a learning tool. This can be a positive experience. How? Puppets create a way of not threatening your child, by teaching self-control as a learning tool, for the fact that they are animated and do not show an adult authoritative power.
When puppets interact displaying how self-control is used, with their characters, that are defined, children seem to understand what the puppets are doing and can identify with them. They pay attention to their characters that are depicting self-control, that are illustrated with puppets, as a learning tool.
By using puppets, you can create a skit, conversations, or simple role playing with the puppets. Self-control, can be taught by puppets, performing positive experiences that are in relationship to their school, community, home, peers, family or for just having fun.
It is imperative that your child learn self-control, and new skills. By using puppets, that would be a great learning tool for them to understand their feelings and relate to them, by gaining a better understanding of what self-control is.
As parent(s) and caregiver(s), you could identify one thing that your child has a problem with, regarding self-control, then use puppets as a learning tool, to teach how that issue can be changed. Using puppets can help identify how to use, understand, their feelings, verbalize, communicate and give them assurance, so they are redirected to positive changes.
You can create puppets as a learning tool, by using colored construction paper, crayons, markers or purchase puppets from a store that carries puppets. Do role playing with puppets by using different situations that are related to your child. Ask questions from your child, to create role playing. For example,
* How would you feel if someone had more toys than you?
* How would you feel if someone took some of your dolls, toys, or something you treasured?
* How would you feel if your brother, sister or friend, was able to do something that you could not do?
By asking your child some of these questions and other questions, using puppets as a learning tool, and role playing with the puppets, your child will think about some of the behavior that is tolerable and choices he or she will have to choose from to, gain better self-control.
Puppets are a wonderful colorful learning tool that has a lasting effect on children with autism. Remember, to take into consideration, that the whole family can be part of this creative way to help your child have self-control by using puppets.
By using puppets, you can become more aware of the feelings and expressions your child is displaying, and may be having a difficult time with trying to change it.
