Due to the fact that a glass frame is already made completely out of glass, it isn't an issue with those types of frames. Yeah, I know, I know, I'm covering some super obvious facts right now. Patience, my friend, okay?
Surprisingly, there are actually quite a few types of glass. I told you there'd be surprises. First off, there are a couple different glass types. There is UV blocking, no-glare, and plain. Additionally, you can get UV blocking and no-glare, all in one convenient picture glass. UV blocking? Isn't that for sunglasses? Why yes, yes it is. And that is because it can be damaging to your eyes. Likewise, UV light can damage art inside of picture frames. UV light can make pictures fade with age, and distort colors. I think it's important to note here that glass picture frames also come with UV-blocking and no-glare.
The second type of picture glass is acrylic. Acrylic is a type of artificial glass. Acrylic has many advantages. One of the biggest ones is that it's more durable. If your picture frame falls or gets dropped, acrylic is less likely to shatter. This doesn't mean it won't shatter, it just means that it can stand more pressure. On top of this, acrylic glass is most often cheaper than regular glass. Also, like acrylic, plexiglass is an artificial glass that can be used in picture frames. Both of these come with no-glare and UV blocking.
So which one should you choose? That depends mainly on two factors. Where are you hanging your art? What type of look are you going for? If you are hanging your art in a safe place with little to no sun, glass may be the type for you. Likewise, if you want to display your art in a sun-lit room, you should get UV blocker glass or acrylic. Also, the type of picture glass you choose has a slight effect on the look of your art. Glass looks like glass, obviously, but artificial glass can sometimes look like plastic. This isn't a HUGE deal, but if it makes a difference for you, go with glass.

You may use painter's tape to help on marking the position that you have tried and feel that they are good position until you decide about the only one position that you like the most. Also there is a rule of thumb that you must place any of picture at eye-catching level to attract people's attention, otherwise the pictures may could not much help as people could not see them.

I need to annotate some pictures for my art coursework, but im not really sure what to write about. It needs to be quite detailed, so any ideas of things i could mention would be great. Thanks 
I'm not quite sure what you're asking for, perhaps check your course outline and ask your teacher for advice. If you're looking at paintings and such, you need to include annotations on the title of the piece, size, who painted it, what mediums they have used. Perhaps include some background into on when the work began/completed, things that were happening at the time... Talk about subject matter, composition, techniques, lighting, what meaning is created? artist intention?
