And let’s face it, the sun will rise tomorrow, the summer will come again. Be smart about your purchases. I usually buy great jackets at 20-30% off towards the end of spring and amazing t-shirts and shirts towards the end of summer. With a 20% in store sale plus my 30% discount by buying a Banana Republic gift card online I get my clothing for almost 50% off. How many people can say that?
Another tactic to consider is shopping at second hand stores. Though a bit time consuming second hand stores sometimes have gems that you can buy for 10% of the retail cost. I bought my daughter a designer skirt at one such store for a mere $10 while it cost over $90 at the store.

Why is the Taurus Judge illegal in The Peoples Republic of California?
I can't help but agree with Jim and Gunner, but they aren't getting me any closer to an answer
The Taurus Judge is illegal because it is considered a short barreled shotgun (SBS).
CA Penal Code 12001(f) says that even though it's classified as a handgun, it may also be classified as a SBS.
CA PC 12020(c)(1) defines a SBS as:
A firearm which is designed or redesigned to fire a fixed shotgun shell and having a barrel or barrels of less than 18 inches in length.
or
A firearm which has an overall length of less than 26 inches and which is designed or redesigned to fire a fixed shotgun shell.
The Judge does not pass neither part of CA PC 12020(c)(1) and is therefore a SBS.
EDIT- Note that a SBS does not actually have to be a "shotgun" under California law! Although CA PC 12020(c)(21) says that a "shotgun" must be a smoothbore firearm, SBS are just any "firearm". Thus while the Taurus Judge is not a "shotgun" since it has a rifled barrel, it still is a "short barreled shotgun"! Imagine that... just a funny point of law for us legal folks to ponder.
