Golden retrievers are well known for its huge size primarily because it is a breed of dog that is naturally huge. In order to have them full term, they need to grow to their normal size even as a baby.
Just like humans who are born pre-mature, you will most likely get a golden retriever that has a lot of birth defects. Since they will not be given enough time to develop completely to its full term, their innate traits and characteristics are likewise compromised. For all you know, what you will get is a dog that is no longer loving and intelligent and strong as their full size counterparts should be.
Golden retrievers are one of the best dog breeds to pet. It is mainly because of their pleasant personality, playful and happy disposition as well as their known intelligence. And all these should come in a huge golden coats package of a true bred golden retriever.
