Christmas, it's a magical season where all things are possible-and the tendency to go over the top with decorations and designs are excusable, enjoyed even. So what do plan to do with this? You know right well we cannot let this opportunity go to waste. You're house is a warm inviting home and you've probably mapped out to the last tinsel what to do with it, but how about your front yard? Yes, it's time we get to the serious business of having fun with awesome outdoor Xmas decorations.

Let's get on with it then. If you dare, involve your children in this project. It's an enjoyable bonding experience that will allow them to unleash their creative potential. Be prepared though of maybe being pestered a little more than necessary. Kids love Christmas, they also seldom have boundaries or a sense of practicality-mix those two together and they will transform into adorable and exasperating creatures of yuletide lore.

Agree on an over-all motif that you will build your outdoor Xmas decorations on. Do you want the solemn and beautiful manger scene softly lit in your lawn for all to see? Sprinkle some figurines or tokens on other parts of the grass like shepherds, singing angels, traveling magi and the like. Have inspiring songs that commemorate the special day playing in the background.

How about a setting of Santa and his reindeer landing on your doorstep or even your rooftop? If that's too common an illustration for you, transport Santa back to his home by making your front house a picture of North Pole. You can integrate this into Christmas tree themes by decking your trees with blue, silver and white ornaments complete with icicles hanging from the boughs.

Depending on your neighborhood, you can also have several small or one large Christmas tree designed with edible decorations. String popcorn and cranberries and wound it all around the leaves. Hang some candy canes and little treats on jutting twigs. Just remember to space your lights well; you don't want burnt popcorn for a snack, you also don't want it for décor. With this theme, use your imagination and go all out as long as it's attractively and tastefully done-pun intended.

You know, you don't even have to stick with the traditional images-push the envelope with infusing your front lawn with you and your family's personality. Go rainbow and set up an outdoor Christmas tree in different colored ornamental balls. Are you known for superb kitchen concoctions? Cover your tree with colorful fruits and vegetables all around it. Do you love all things animated? Dress up iconic characters and place them all over your yard.

With all the stress the rest of the year brings, take a breather. Let the holidays bring out the child in you who finds joy in the simplest things-- sometimes you will find that it is exactly what you need. Outdoor Xmas decorations are great expressions of yuletide cheer. Have fun, play and let merry this Christmas!

Using African Wheel To Bring Color And Life To Your Home

When you are looking for a way to bring color, energy and history into your home, you will find that one of the best ways to do so is by looking to decorate with an African motif. More and more people are discovering the ways that they can liven up their environments with these powerful designs, so take a look at some information to get you started. Make sure that you make the most out of any opportunity that you can to take a look at adding these lovely objects to your environment

When you are taking a look at African culture and the goods that come out of that country, the first thing that you will be struck by is the sheer variety. Whether you are thinking of African fabrics or African musical instruments, you will find that the differences and variations could fill an entire library, so make sure that you take a look around at the regional differences. The cloth that you find in Ghana, for instance will be instantly distinguishable from the African fabrics that you find elsewhere.

When you are considering African fabrics, take a look around at some of the variety that you will see. Batik, which uses wax to create some of the most beautifully intricate designs on bright vivid colors are a great way to add a little bit of color to your world, and you'll find that many of these designs are influenced by tribal motifs. They are often hand-dyed, giving them a lively mode color variation and offering a one of a kind piece of art no matter what you intend to use it for. Similarly, you will find that they are often created in small pieces, usually no more than two and four yards, and that they are perfect for decoration.

Similarly, when you take a look at African musical instruments, you will find some wonderful variety waiting for you. Most familiar to many people are the African drums, which can range in use from being musical instruments, to ceremonial objects to a form of highly sophisticated communication. You'll find that African musical instruments will differ depending on which area of the country they are from, for instance, you may find that the slit drums of the Yaka and the Yangere are quite different from the traditional drums of the Yoruba and the Senufro. When looking at the African musical instruments, you will also see a wide variety of wind instruments like trumpets and flutes as well as many types of xylophone and harps.

Remember that when you are dealing with African art that variety is something that you should be on the look out for. Embrace the various types of art you can bring into your life and really experience some of the differences you can find in this amazing field.

Why is there a discrepancy between clock faces in Majora's Mask?

I'm working on a 20-inch diameter carving of the Clock Town clock from Majora's Mask, but I've noticed there are two different designs of the clock face. One, found in the official art, has a blue half-moon, but the other (found in screenshots) has a red flower or sun motif. Which is more "correct," or are both right? I never noticed in-game, but is the sun displayed during the day, and the moon at night? Thanks : D
(For anyone interested in how it turns out, my flickr website is http://www.flickr.com/photos/leenybug/sets/. I'll be sure to post it there whenever I'm done! : D )

i never noticed in gameplay either and this is like one of my fav games. do either and i wanna see how it turns out :O

Ahead of his time: Carausius was a pirate, a rebel and the first ruler of a unified Britain
One afternoon earlier this summer, in a Somerset meadow, David Crisp stumbled upon 52,000 Romano-British coins, the second-largest such hoard of its kind ever unearthed – and presently on exhibit in the British Museum. Almost 800 of these were minted during the reign of Carausius, which lasted from around AD286 until AD293, the first ruler since the conquest in AD43 to govern Britain without the ...
