At which weddding and to whom should I give my crystal love glasses to?
I'm attending the wedding of two Marine Corp. privates tomorrow who have just finished boot camp and are due to be deployed overseas. As one gift, I'm giving them a bottle of very good champayne. However, I want to include champayne glasses. I have a pair that were last used thirty-six years ago toasting my wedding, which ended in divorce. I wanted to pass these glasses on to my daughter, but she has no plans to marry even though she is living with a Marine. Although, this young couple are not related to me, I thought they may enjoy and have better longevity with the glasses than I. Should I give them to the USMC privates or save them for my daughter's wedding? Help. . . the wedding is tomorrow at Noon.
Definitely save them for your daughter. If she ever does get married and you don't have those to give her, you may regret it. Also, it will mean more to her than anything that you saved them for her.
