Stan Seecrets:
The sum total of all human knowledge is a prime number. (Spoof of Fermat's Last Theorem and commenting the pool of public domain knowledge is great)
The sum total of all human wisdom is not a prime number. (Spoof of Fermat's Last Theorem and commenting the lack of wisdom among our political leaders)
There are two types of people in the world - those who know what they don't know and those who don't know what they don't know. (Commenting on the lack of common-sense among individual investors and the public)
The imminent war for world domination will be fought between the gods of the internet and the gods of finance. (Disagreeing with Samuel Huntington's claim in "A Clash of Civilizations". All wars are economic in nature)
Crypto will be a search engine's nightmare. (Commenting of the possibility of using crypto as a safeguard against search engines increasing encroachments on individuals' privacy)
Website promotion is a journey of a million sweats. Savor each drop and it will taste like honey. (Commenting on most websites' futility in trying to use shortcuts and dubious methods to improve their site's ranking)
If reading maketh the man, conference the complete man and writing the exact man, then the internet maketh writers free. (Addendum to Francis Bacon's famous quote and commenting on the writers unprecedented freedoms)
Poets try to capture the essence of the universe with the elegance of words. Mathematicians try to do the same with their formula and numbers. Therefore, mathematicians are calculative poets. (Poking fun at mathematicians, and himself)
Those who write articles cannot write software. Those who write software cannot write articles. Those who can do neither, become publishers. (Spoof of Lao Zi's 56th verse and poking fun at publishers while jealous of their top positions of the content food chain)
The brand is the website. (Spoofing Marshall McLuhan "The Medium is the Message". McLuhan is considered by many, as the prophet of the electronic age).
Where we originate is the same - our mothers' womb. Where we are heading is the same - six-feet under. In between, we communicate. (Inspired by George Santayana, Spanish-born American philosopher - There is no cure for birth or death save to enjoy the interval).
If scientists can communicate, the whole world will be reading Membrane Theory right now. (M-Theory is the latest all-encompassing theory of the universe since Einstein.)
The 3 C's of effective communications - Communicate, Communicate and Communicate. (Family members of this author will have a laugh over this one).
How does any ant bring down a giant - by releasing its toxins into a certain part of the giant's anatomy where the sun has hardly shone on. (This is an example of an exploit as defined in the field of cryptography - vulnerability.)

Beijing is a city of amazing contrasts - an ancient capital with some incredible historical sites, and a bustling modern metropolis getting ready to host the 2008 Olympics. In Beijing, those places you should not miss:
The Tiananmen Square- is the largest public square in the world.
Forbidden City-is the largest and the best preserved Imperial Palace in the world.
Temple of Heaven-was built specifically for worship of heaven and prayers for good harvests during the Ming and Qing dynasties.

Hutong Trishaw Tour-you can take the rickshaw to drive through the old walking alleys to see the old living residence. You can also visit the local family to talk with them. This is a very good opportunity for you to have a real understanding of the local people life.
In Beijing, clusters of neighboring "Siheyuan"(Quadrangles), low and gray, make into many small alleys, most of which orderly laid out like a chessboard, running either from south to north or east to west. This sort of alleys is called "Hutong" in Peking dialect. All these alleys are the same. When you are in it, you will find and experience that every alley has something special to talk about, as it is full of life and stories.

Visiting on a Friday or Saturday night, you may be overwhelmed by the enormous crowds that fill the streets, with all bars having only standing room. Most language you can hear here is English rather than Cantonese speaking.
The third city to talk about is Qingdao. As a sailing Olympic city, Qingdao is a beautiful seaside city in the southeast of Shandong Province. When you are here, never miss to go those places:
Mt. Laoshan- is different from many famous mountains in China. Lao Mountain rises from the sea level, and has a coast line of 87 kilometers, structuring a wonder on the sea. Take a walk around, with the sea on one side, and lofty stones and precipitous peaks on the other side, both majestic and elegant, you will enjoy those views without feeling to leave.
Taiqing Palace - As the birth place of Laozi, it has more than 140 rooms including Three Gods' Hall, Three Purities' Hall and Three Emperors' Hall. There are five Taiji Palaces as the main buildings, a stone pillar with three cypresses around and many well preserved ancient articles.
The No. 1 Bathing Beach- is located at the Huiquan Beach, it is once the largest bathing beach in Asia. The surrounding mountains and green trees, modern building subtly combined traditional villas form a wonderful scene. The clear water and soft sands contribute to the superior natural conditions of the beach.
What's more, every summer Qingdao hosts the Beer Festival. If you have an opportunity to attend it, you'll see the best of Chinese beer drinking culture at the event. So what do followers of the Tao in America read after...?
Laozi and Zhuangzi (or Lao Tzu and Chuang Tzu for those who keep to Wade-Giles).
I'm rather curious - because 9 out of 10 times those who are encouraged to learn the Dao seem to be pointed toward translations of those two books.
But what comes after for you folks?
I wasn't implying that there was a curriculum for it.
But back home there is access to the whole Daozang.
What is accessible in America?
It's not exactly like we've got a specific set of doctrine that we adhere to. We're all about causality, non-action, and understanding. After Lao Tzu, and Chuang Tzu, there are probably other things to read, but there is always more meaning to be found in the I Ching and Tao te Ching. Which is essentially what makes it such a wonderful philosophy. No matter how many times you read it, it will always make sense in a new way with new life experiences.
edit: You can access anything you can access back home here, provided it has been retrieved. The internet is a wonderful resource, and American capitalism is all about selling stuff. Check out Border's and Amazon.com. I guarantee you'll find whatever you're looking for.
Lao Tzu and Jalaluddin Rumi, superstars
