Here are some more information for Kitty Japanese:

Angie reached for the letter open gingerly her hand almost shaking unable to stop herself and rationalizing it by saying she was only checking to see if such pretty ornaments could possibly have a blade. She had ordered the 2 Piece Japanese Samurai Katana Sword Letter Opener With Stand as a touch of the orient to her office (actually her husband's office). His passion was Samurai swords and Angie felt this added just the perfect accent.
Angie had never been fond of swords but indulged her husband's passion for ancient Samurais with a touch of amusement and uneasiness. She made it a point to never be in the room when he polished his collection of replica Samurai Katana swords, they looked to bright and evil. How could such a gentle man have such a passion for weapons?
Slowly she pulled the longest katana from its wooden sheathe making herself calm her breathing, after all it was only a letter opener and could hardly cut the mail, much less anything else but her hands tingled and her breathing would not slow. The box it had arrived in lay in the corner and she cast a glance over at it to check the return address. After all nothing as innocuous as a 2 Piece Japanese Samurai Katana Sword Letter Opener With Standcould possibly be a threat, right?
The little Japanese katana slid smoothly from its wooden sheathe and she smiled as she saw its dulled edges and hefted it in her hand. "Nothing to worry about, its only a letter opener, see?" she told herself. But before her eyes the room disappeared, and she is was an open hut, it was night and the moon was bright but the hut was hot and dark the only bright spot was the glowing forge. The smell of bamboo and sweat strong in her nose, mosquitoes buzzed around her annoying her but not biting.
Bent over a glowing fire before her was a tiny man his sandaled feet dusty and his bare back sweaty. She peered unable to control her curiosity despite the odd circumstances, as he reached into the fire and pulled out a glowing piece of metal. She realized he was Japanese as he turned around the hunk of metal actually sending off heat she could feel where she stood.
"What on earth?" She thought as she watched him silently. He took the almost molten metal to flat iron surface and begin to hammer it.
She glanced down at her hand remembering the letter opener she held and realized it had grown it was nearly 18 inches long and no longer shiny steel but a dull grey. Angie dropped it instinctively and suddenly she was back on her husband's office with the tiny letter opener on the floor.
The little letter opener did not seem as threatening now despite her vision and she bent to pick it up and replace it in its stand - convincing herself she had only been daydreaming. As her fingers closed around the hasp she actually felt the katana grow in her hand and once again she was back in the little hut watching the tiny Japanese man with the incredibly strong arms and knotted hands work.
This time the metal had form and it was long and straight but with a curved tip, even now she could see the beauty of the sword and knew it would be for a noble Samurai. Even knowing nothing of ancient Japanese sword making Angie knew it was to be a work of art though, as yet unfinished.
Angie knew the one he was working on was to be the one she held, and wondered what it would be when finished. Would this Japanese Katana embody the soul of the maker,or would it be dull and lifeless? This artist was applying clay carefully to it. It seemed lumpy to Angie as though there were different thicknesses applied. She wondered how he did not burn himself the metal was still hot!
This time she placed the katana on the ground carefully letting go reluctantly, and instantly the office appeared around her.
Careful not to touch tiny katana Angie bent over and placed it carefully back in the wooden sheathe. "Wouldn't her husband be surprised with his new 2 Piece Japanese Samurai Katana Sword Letter Opener With Stand?" she thought?
Though she expected he might never open a letter with it if he saw what she had seen and she knew she would be back to find out how her katana turned out.

Tech Stuffed TaylorMade R9 Max Irons Review
I was able to spend the last week playing around with both the R9 irons and R9 Max iron so I thought I'd give some feedback on these Japan market models even though people are probably sick to death of hearing about the R9 with all the exposure this line got this year. Taylormade is one of the most if not the most focused American brands in the Japanese market. With exclusive models released just for Japan and top models like the R9 being released first in Japan before anywhere else in the world, Taylormade has always given that extra little attention to the demanding Japanese market.
Taylormade Japan introduces their all new R9 Max Iron for 2009! The R9 features a dual head design made for both performance and control. the 3-5 irons feature a high repulsion face with hollow cavity structure for increased distance. The 6-Wedge feature a more compact undercut pocket cavity with a focus on feel, control and accuracy. The R9 features variable face thickness. Starting with 2.0mm thick face in the long irons to 2.3mm in the mid irons and 2.5mm in the short irons for enhanced feel.
Taylormade utilizes its inverted cone technology to expand the sweet area reducing overall loss on off center hits. The multifunctional sole is versatile and made to excel in any lie. The new R9 Max has strong lofts with a 25* 5 iron and a wider sole and more offset than the standard Japan R9 iron. Those who want R9 Technology in an ultra forgiving and distance performing package should opt for the super forgiving TaylorMade R9 Max iron.
Distance and Control-Enhancing Technologies in a Classic Shape
TaylorMade has introduced the R9™ MAX iron, designed to deliver modern performance and tremendous distance in a more classic package.
Like the Burner® irons, the Taylormade R9 MAX long-irons and middle-irons were designed separately from the short-irons to optimize performance in each club. The result is that the 3-iron through 6-iron are extremely long and easy to hit, and the short-irons are engineered to promote great feel, control and accuracy.
Velocity-Control Chamber in the Long- and Middle-irons
Each R9 MAX long-iron and middle-iron (3- through 6-) houses a large and fully enclosed compartment positioned behind the clubface, underneath the cavity badge. Called the Velocity-Control Chamber (VCC), it makes it possible for an immense area of the ultra-thin (2.0 mm) clubface to exist unsupported. We call it a wrap-around clubface because it acts like a face that wraps around the top-line and the leading edge, which gives the face more freedom to flex and reflex at impact, much like a thin-faced driver.

Tarantino and his influences at Siskel
A summerlong Quentin Tarantino retrospective can be found at the Siskel Film Center, with double bills through the end of August. This week's pairing features "Kill Bill: Vol. 1" (2003) and "Kill Bill: Vol. 2" (2004) — a rare chance to see both films on the big screen in a single sitting — although most weeks spotlight a Tarantino film alongside an older movie that influenced his work.
