I just got a Pokemon Heart Gold (100% English) rom, and I have an old Pokemon Heart Gold (Japanese) .SAV file, and I tried to use it with my new English rom, but the second I hit "continue" on the main screen, it just goes to a black screen and stays there.....Any way I can fix/get around this?
I'm using an R4 to play the game. (The Japanese version was an English patched, about 60, maybe 70% patched or so, if this helps)
Ahh man. That's a shame. I was hoping there was something I could do....Oh well. Yeah, that's what I'll do, unless someone else can provide me with more information.
This happens on the japanese rom aswell, yours was already English patched so it's likely it had been parched for the black screen aswell. You might have to wait for a patched English rom. In the no$gba emulator you just need to put in some action replay codes. I could test out a Japanese rom save on it if I can figure out how to 
likely it won't work anyway though
