Best place (for this type of American) to live in Japan?
I am American (25% Japanese, Shinto Buddhist) and by the time I move there I'll be fluent in Japanese. I would like to become a music producer in Japan, so what place, besides Tokyo, would be good for me? I understand that Tokyo would obviously be the best since it has the most musical nightlife, but would a place like Osaka or Kobe work? Just a city I could start in, because I'll probably move to Tokyo after a year or two of living in Japan. Thanks!
If you wanted to work in the music business you would most likely need to work in Tokyo as this is where all the major music labels are located. You could live in Tokyo or Yokohama and this would enable you to commute quite easily. Osaka also has some companies but not on the scale of Tokyo.
