Here are some more information for Japan Geisha:

Oriental porcelain dolls make exquisite gifts, and with the wide selection and good availability of these wondrous creations, it's no wonder that they are becoming highly prized pieces gracing many collections these days. With their vibrant garments, high quality porcelain and attention to detail, oriental porcelain dolls are becoming more popular than ever. If you are the lucky owner of one that is hand stitched and hand painted, you can count yourself one of the luckiest collectors around as these are becoming more difficult to obtain. Oriental porcelain dolls are a wonder to behold for many years, as you will always find something new to amaze you and your friends.
When you think of oriental porcelain dolls, many think of Chinese dolls. While this is accurate, and these dolls are amazing, don't let yourself be fooled into thinking these are the only oriental porcelain dolls to be found. There are many collectors of Japanese porcelain dolls also. The Orient is generally classified as East Asian countries, namely Japan and China. Within these countries are many areas that are different not only in culture, but also in dress and often even in language.
With these differences come the additional varieties of oriental porcelain dolls to choose from. Perhaps you prefer the more ornate Geisha dolls or the Japanese dolls created around characters from novels or legends. There are many other dolls to consider, each have their own form of bride and groom dolls with differences in the hand painted porcelain, dress and jewelry along with the dolls that are dressed more as commoners in simple garb.
The warrior oriental porcelain dolls that inspire strength through the choice of garment and armor they wear including weaponry are also very popular. Time is another consideration when choosing and oriental porcelain doll. These countries are so immensely steeped in history, beauty, and change; there are innumerable choices for an oriental porcelain doll. Finding the doll that you want may be a little difficult, but with the wide variety on the Internet, it shouldn't take too long to find the perfect addition to your collection.
The best way to choose your oriental porcelain doll is to narrow the categories some. Do a little research before you begin buying. Start with which culture you would prefer to display, then choose which area of the country to look further into. Last but not least, do you prefer a doll of more modern appearance, or do you want to look several centuries into the past to find an oriental porcelain doll?
Many of the finer, hand sewn and hand painted oriental porcelain dolls that are from a more rare section of the country may be difficult not only to find, but may be a tad bit pricier than you expected, but they are definitely worth the additional expenditure. These will only increase in value monetarily, but also to our family as a fine collector's piece that will be handed down from one generation to the next. Parents should not be concerned with presenting their children with such a priceless doll, as children generally understand they are receiving a true gift that will in turn entice the child to learn more about the people in the world we live in.
Inspiration is the greatest gift of all and with the tangible doll to examine and care for, it won't be long before the entire family is involved in the learning process. Giving an oriental porcelain doll is not only a lesson in love from one to another, but also a lesson in history, a true learning experience.

Japan, One Of The Best Destinations In Asia
Japan is notably one of the best destinations in Asia, if not one of the better know. Japanese culture has found its way throughout the world and common cultural items are recognized just about everywhere. Getting to vacation where these popular trends came from is like a dream come true. The wealth of cultural diversity is almost dizzying and its not hard to find something for every type of traveler.
Tokyo is the capital of Japan. Most tours of Japan start or end in Tokyo if they ever leave. Tokyo is a very large, and very expensive city but well worth the time. There are many great sites to be visited among its crowded streets. Among the must-visit wonders are Akihabara, Tsukiji, and the Imperial Palace. Akihabara is the electronic gadget lover's paradise. Many goodies are found here in the wall to wall electronic shops, and may never see the mass market. Tsukiji is the world's largest open air fish market. It reportedly sells hundreds of different types of fish each day. The Imperial Palace is not generally open to the public except twice a year, and then only the outer areas. The gardens and grounds around the palace are open and a wonderful place to get glimpses of the Palace. The Tokyo National Museum is also a great stop to view a large suppository of Japanese antiques and artifacts. Some other things to take into account while traveling in Tokyo is the transit system during peak times might be a little uncomfortable to the average traveler who isn't use to packing into a subway car like a sardine.
Another city of interest is Hiroshima. Hiroshima is the site of the world's first atom bond detonation used in war. The Peace Memorial Museum is located here which houses a large collection that includes artifacts from its militaristic past, the events leading to the dropping of the bomb as well as the fallout afterward and Hiroshima's anti-nuclear movement. Living in the shadow of great tragedy has allowed a great place for wisdom to flourish.
Another great city is Kyoto and its famous geisha houses. You can easily tour some lovely historic structures as many made it through the war, and the basic grid structure makes it easy to navigate. There are numerous walking tours, including one by a native English speaker, Peter Macintosh, who helps the crew of Memoirs of a Geisha scout locations.
There are plenty of Japanese cultural events you can participate in no matter what city you are in. What trip to Japan would be complete without attending a Traditional Tea Ceremony? While it is usually not in English, several hotels in Tokyo offer it in English to accommodate tourists. Attending a sumo match is also great cultural events. Even if you can't actually attend one, they are highly televised during the tournaments. After a long day of touring the wonders of Japan, a shiatsu massage is a great treat. They are available at most first class hotels and many others as well. If massage isn't your thing you can also go to a hot springs. While not very common in some countries they are incredibly popular and can be found in all parts of the country.

How about something that represents confinement, imprisonment since Geishas were not owners of their own destiny. They were not free to love who they wanted to. The were prisoners of others' wills.
Geishas swap teahouses for beer gardens
JAPAN'S traditional geisha were swapping their highbrow teahouse traditions for downmarket beer gardens as the global recession continued to weigh on their clients' pockets.
