I couldnt believe how nervous i was... i used to jump the horse before my last quite a bit and a fair height but after my arab (who i trained to jump) I think ive lost all of it now !! HHelpp me!! also hows my positon ? Jade.
if you're nervous, the horse is nervous. they feel everything you're feeling. you have to just do it. trust me, i took a real bad fall awhile ago, and i dind't even want to get on a horse. now matter how small it was. but i made myself do it, and im glad. take deep breaths. what helped me, was b/c it was a lesson barn where you ride different horses all the time, ask the trainer if if you can stick with one horse that makes you comfortable for awhile. spend time with it. come alittle early, take it out in the pasture on lead and just hang out with it. pet it, and talk to it. that helped me and it also helped me make a bond with my horse. i now do that with every horse i ride. and i have no problems whatsoever. now and then they may spook and or refuse, but thats what they do. and thats why we love them! it would be boring if they did everything everytime. good luck and enjoy riding, it is a fun sport, and being nervous or scared doesn't make it fun.
