How do you tell real Jade from a polished dyed rock?
How do you tell if Jade is authentic? I have a lot of old Chinese carved stone or jade items and could not tell you if the green jade is real or fake. Does anyone know how to test for it?. Since it comes from China, for all I know it is chunk of green melamine or ground puppy bones?
Take it to a jewellers and they should be able to tell you for free and let you know if you should insure it.
