If these are intended for kids, and you're in the US or intend to sell in the US, don't go any farther until you've read about the new CPSIA regs (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act). These affect ALL products intended for use by children under the age of 12. At the moment, the regs are essentially that all products are guilty until proven innocent by some fairly expensive lab tests, in certified labs. and a large new chunk of the law goes into effect 10 Feb 2009. This is a law with some big sharp teeth, so I urge you read things carefully.
