Here are some more information for Hand Painted Snuff:

Barbecues and fireworks on the Fourth of July are as American as apple pie. If you engage in this tradition the following story may sound very familiar. I had recently bought my first house and could not wait to show it off. I invited my friends over for a Fourth of July Barbecue and wanted it to be special. I wanted to give my gathering a relaxed atmosphere, so I bought a fire pit and some wood and made it the center piece of my patio. Everyone enjoyed the relaxing hiss and crackle of my wood fire so I stoked and added wood to my fire on a regular basis throughout the evening. As I broiled my steaks for dinner I noticed that my friends were using the plates and napkins to fan smoke out of their faces as they choked on the smoke from my beautiful new fireplace. Then I see them playing a strange game of musical chairs as they attempt to casually escape the smoke stream which seems to be following them in earnest. I believe it may be one of Murphy's laws that once you move your chair away from the smoke stream, it will follow you where ever you go. I started poking at the fire trying to move the smoke away from my guests and then I heard a loud pop. I looked up in time to see a red hot spark soaring directly at my best friend's brand new designer top. The glowing ember seared a hole in her top and almost caught her on fire but luckily she was not harmed. I wish I could say the same for my barbecue. Does this story sound at all familiar?
Your party doesn't need to turn out like this. Check out this environmentally friendly alternative that allows you to enjoy the dancing flames and crackle of a wood fire without the smoke, soot and cleanup. After my barbecue disaster I discovered the gel flame fireplace. A gel flame fireplace burns an isopropyl alcohol based fuel that burns to a clean vapor that leaves no smoke, soot or ashes and requires no venting. Ventless fireplace logs that burn gel fuel can go anywhere in your home and are perfect for apartments, finished basements, bedrooms and patios. If you have a sensitivity to smoke due to allergies or respiratory ailments you can now enjoy a real flame fire as you relax at home or have your next party. Real Flame, the original company to offer a gel flame fireplace, is the top seller of these fireplaces in the market today. Of the indoor, outdoor and personal size models they offer it is hard to choose just one. So what is the right option for your patio?
Choosing the right gel flame fireplace depends on what you currently have and the look and atmosphere you are trying to achieve. If like me, you already have a fire pit, you may want to purchase a "convert to gel log set" instead of taking on the expense of buying a whole new patio fireplace. These logs, made from molded concrete and hand painted for authentic looks, are made to last and maintain their appearance throughout many years of use. These log sets come in models that burn either two or four cans of Real Flame Fuel at one time so you can tailor your choice to your intended use and the size of your fireplace. In my world bigger is better so I purchased the 4 can outdoor log set for my existing fire pit. It is as simple as cleaning up your existing fire pit and placing the gel flame log set inside. Yes, it's really that easy. Load the Real Flame Fuel in the preset spots, light it, then relax and savor the relaxing hiss, crackle, and beautiful dancing flames as they simulate the look and sound of a wood fire. Snuff out the flame when you are finished using a snuffer or the fuel can lid then replace the lid on the fuel can and store until your next use. There's no need to worry about hot embers when you leave or turn in for the night and no dirty ashes or soot to clean up in the morning (or the usual argument over who has to do the cleaning). Best of all, you can spend your time entertaining your guests instead of tending to your fireplace.
If you don't have a patio fireplace Real Flame has several outdoor fireplace models to choose from ranging from an elegant lantern shaped fireplace to a simple decorative fire bowl. Elegant or casual, these fireplaces add charm to any patio setting. If you prefer something more decorative or elegant that can be used as a table center piece you should check out the line of personal fireplaces offered by Real Flame. Unlike a standard candle flame these unique units create a larger dancing flame that mimics the hiss and crackle of a wood fire for a more interesting atmosphere. Of course these units are also perfect for relaxing and enjoying a good book indoors or out.
Now let's get back to our story. We move ahead one year to your next annual Fourth of July Barbecue. The only smoke you see is coming from the steaks searing on the BBQ, no one is playing musical chairs and no one loses the shirt off their back. The major topic of conversation is where you got your new fireplace because everyone wants one. Your guests are impressed and you look like a superstar. If you enjoy a relaxing fire it just doesn't get any easier or more convenient than a gel flame fireplace. I have been so happy with the Real Flame Fireplace on my patio that I now have one in my living room too. But that is another story.

Review Article Of Samsung Plasma PN50A450
It gets lots of the technologies found within the company's higher-end sets, including FilterBright anti-glare technology, the ACE silhouette editor that smooths facial colors, and Natural True Color with 18-bit color processing. It also has a built-in NTSC/ATSC tuner with Clear QAM for picking up over-the-air HD broadcasts. On the audio side, the PN50A450 features down-firing 10-watt speakers and support for SRS TruSurround XT.
Like most of Samsung's flat-screen televisions, the PN50A450 adopts a classy (if not terribly unique) glossy black bezel. Whilst this finish typically collect fingerprints effortlessly on manhandled devices like MP3 players and laptops, we can't find a lot to complain about on a television, which shouldn't be getting touched too often. The lower right-hand side sports a discrete red LED that lights up when the set is off, along with embossed buttons for basic functions like changing channels, adjusting volume, switching inputs, and bringing up the Tv menu. When powered on, the silver Samsung logo under the display gets a gentle white glow from below, but not nearly sufficient to be distracting. Overall, the clean styling on the PN50A450 was even par with Samsung's pricier sets, and guests would never know from viewing it while turned off that it occupies the lower end with the company's line-up.
Since Samsung has targeted budget buyers who may not have accessories which are entirely as much as snuff using the latest high-def input standard, it was wise that the business included two component video inputs as well as three HDMI inputs about the PN50A450. These, combined with dual composite A/V inputs, plus S-video and VGA, ought to be a lot more than sufficient for your array of components most buyers will connect to a Television like this. It's not probably the most complete rear panel we've ever seen, but we wouldn't anticipate needing numerous more connections when looking in this cost range. USB inputs would be nice, but that's clearly a premium feature outside the scope of this unit.
Given its shortcomings inside the video department, the PN50A450 in fact surprised us when it came to sound quality. Dialog during movies was clear, sound effects seemed to have in-room presence, and even though the internal stereo speakers suckle just 10 watts per channel, they get plenty loud. In a quiet room, seated about 15 feet from the display, listening to audio on level 14 (out of 100) was perfectly sufficient. Needless to say, as with any built-in television speakers, bass was lacking, but that's par for that course. No television's speakers can substitute for a actual home theater system, but for cash-strapped buyers who might be considering this particular model, the built-in sound program will work just fine until they can scrape together some more funds for the real deal.
The remote that comes packaged using the PN50A450 looks a bit like it was created in Microsoft Paint. All of its buttons are easy shapes with primary colors, and the amount buttons might be stolen correct off a large-print remote for the elderly. Although this makes it very easy to operate, it doesn't pretty match the TV's darker, much more seductive appear, and does not appear all that stylish on the coffee table either. Functionally, it is also hindered by deficiencies in glow-in-the-dark or back-lit buttons, producing it harder to use at nighttime if you're not already used to the feel of its flat and hard-to-differentiate buttons. Despite the fact that Samsung gave the bottom with the remote a rounded, ergonomic shape, designers also added tough plastic nubs for it to sit degree over a countertop, approximately negating any attempts at comfort.
Samsung's menus consistently manage to impress us with their intuitive layout and ease of navigation, and the PN50A450 fared no different. Accessing probably the most commonly utilized features of the television posed no difficulties, but in some instances we wished the options stretched deeper. For instance, the Tv won't keep in mind tweaked settings from input to input, and even though you can customize the Dynamic, Common and Cinema color profiles to taste, we thought being bound to only three profiles felt pretty limited. The Television offered quite a few a lot more options when it came to audio, completely down to a five-band equalizer and 5 different customizable profiles to play with.

What is the best way to remove black soot fire damage from antique hand painted bronze figures?
I recently had a kitchen fire at home which spread black smoke and soot into an ajoining sitting room. I have numerous Nepalese & Tibetan c19th antique bronze figurines which are now covered with fire soot. As these bronzes are also hand painted using traditional ground stone colours (applied to their outer-faces) I am reluctant to use any water based products including plain water! I have not attepted anything as yet, not even a soft brush and so any GOOD advise would be much appreciated. The soot has also covered porceline items of antiquity and other metalware such as perfume & snuff bottles. Some of which date back to the c17th . . . H.E.L.P!!! Please!
Because some of the stuff is so valuable and old I would go see a professional for cleaning.
