Another museum is the City Palace Museum that registered its name in The Guinness Book of Records. It is famous because it displays the biggest sterling silver article of two mammoth silver vessels in the world. This museum is mainly located in the Diwan-i-Aam of the City Palace. The Diwan-i-Aam means a public hall.
The hall has ceilings designed and patterned from traditional Rajput architecture. These are beautifully painted and decorated. It has large marvelous chandeliers usually protected by dust covers. However these chandeliers are opened only during certain occasions.
This museum takes pride of displays of priceless original ancient manuscripts of the Hindus. The museum also exhibits the miniature form of the Bhagwat Gita. This interesting object was hidden from the cruel reach and eyes of a religious fanatic name Emperor Aurangzeb in the later part of the Mughal Age. History says that everything this man found at his hand is destroyed.
It also displays certain miniature paintings of the ancient past of India. These paintings described are very delicate. There are also displays of elephant saddles called haudas at the museum.
Lastly, the Dolls Museum houses thousands of Dolls. It was built in the year 1974. The approximate distance of it from Jaipur is about 4 kilometers.
The collections of dolls here portray the custom and culture of India and Foreign countries of the world. Also, the dolls exhibited in this museum are not only beautiful but also show the creative talents of their creators.
In the museum one can see displays of dolls dressed in bridal attires of different countries such as Burma, China, Japan, Malaysia and New Zealand nice to look at. Moreover, there are also displays of dolls wearing national costumes of Britain, Germany, Lebanon, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, Uganda and the USA.

One can also see Indian Dolls in the museum that were made by the natives of the place such as The Rajasthani Dolls. These dolls were created from woods called doodhia. And the Papier-mache Dolls seen in the museum are instances of local art. These dolls portray rural folklore and village life of Jaipur.
