Here are some more information for Gold Plating Flower:

Platinum is a very rare precious metal that is very hard to mine and therefore costly. Many metals are electroplated using platinum for various purposes. The electroplating of platinum is a chemical process that makes platinum adhere to the surface of another metal.
Platinum electroplating is used for coating electrodes, which are used in the refinement of oil and in the production of fertilizers, acids, and even explosives. The automotive industry uses platinum-plated catalytic converters in order to take care of automobile exhaust emission. In the health care industry, platinum plates are used in instruments such as catheters and connectors for surgical equipment. In electroplating, platinum is often used to coat titanium, niobium, or stainless steel anodes or rods.
It is also used in the jewelry industry because its luster is much purer compared to silver or gold, which enhances the brilliance of gemstones, such as diamonds and rubies. Platinum plating does not discolor or oxidize, and it is hypoallergenic, which means that it does not react with the human skin like gold and other metals can.
There are two types of platinum plating, namely acidic plating and neutral plating. Acidic plating is used in electrical applications because of the good conductivity that the metal provides. On the other hand, neutral plating is used for aerospace applications because of its corrosion resistance properties and is used for decorative applications.
Platinum electroplating is similar to palladium electroplating and is used extensively in electronics, medical implants, and scientific instruments. Electroplated platinum finishes offer a moderate cost alternative solution compared to rhodium and other precious metals.
The actual process of electroplating is very simple and involves the plating of a desired metal by immersing it in a salt solution of the metal (in this case platinum), which, in turn, adheres to the anode or the metal rod that is to be electroplated. This process is carried out by many industries specializing in this field and can be done at home if the required equipment is available.

Gold Plated Rose - Symbolizing Eternal Promise and Affection
There are times in our life when we are short of words and words do not adequately express our right state of mind. In such times of crisis it is our innate wish that something could put forth your message in the way you desire. Conventional gifts such as flowers or greeting cards have repeatedly been the redeemer of man in such crucial situations. But as we are all aware repeated use of a particular thing makes it loss its charm, similar is the case with these conventionally used gifts. The call for the moment in such a situation is to make use of your imagination in order to bring back the excitement and charisma of the relationship. The innovations in gift items are ruling the market and the gift companies are trying to give their best by employing different ideas. By striking the right note in the demand sector with innovative gift items they’ll surely be able to hit the bull’s eye. Amongst all the traditional gift items, rose still has a great hold as it is a symbol of affection, love and care. However, a slight innovation in the conventional is a gold plated rose.
The flower’s color speaks volumes about the kind of bond you share with the person. But a gold plated rose has a universal significance as is an ideal gift for a friend, a parent or a lover towards whom you want to express your gratitude as well fondness. However, there are times, not necessarily a special occasion when you look out for a way to express what you really feel for the person. For such an occasion a rose plated in gold is ideal.
A gold plated rose has a dual significance it is real and at the same time it is eternal and will never perish. It will stay forever with you reminding you of the fond memories and the person who has gifted you. It serves as one of the most sought for gift on special occasions such as birthdays, Valentine’s Day, anniversaries and Christmas. The process of making a gold plated rose comprises more than forty steps, of selecting a rose carefully and then dipping it in 24 carat gold liquid, which preserves the rose making it indestructible. A combination of love and an eternal promise is a rare combination that will definitely bring a smile on the face of your loved one.

Wedding centerpiece flowers?
Hi everyone:)
I'm getting married on a very hot summer day; August 7.
My colors are as followed:
Table cloths: Black
Diamond on top of the table cloths: Dark red (think something sort of like this http://photos.bravenet.com/312/858/007/9/9363BF40BA.jpg )
Plates: Gold ( http://www.tucsonweddingsite.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/p1020953.jpg )
I would really love to have real roses as centerpieces (I might end up using fake flowers depending on budget). So lets say I end up going with the real flowers, roses being the main flower (I can mix it up), what color should I use? (I was thinking white but not sure). My bouquet will be pure red and the bridesmaids will use red flowers, I'm still deciding whether or not I'll use red shoes
Do you have any ideas?
PS
I know these may not be summer colors, but I'm really not into that. I'm going with what we both like:)
I really like these colors as well....but I'm thinking with all this drama you need something that really pops. How about dark purple roses? Or mix dark purple and deep red. You can even have your florist dip the tips of the roses in glitter to coincide with your diamond theme. If you're worried about pricing, check out some tips for saving money in your decorations by giving them multiple uses http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2732299/double_duty_decorations.html?cat=23. I hope this helps.
