Choosing a wedding date depends on many factors. One way of deciding is choosing your favorite season of the year. Each season offers its own style and flavor to a wedding. The time of the year you will get married will surely affect the approach and styles you will apply in planning the wedding of your dreams. This will include selecting the ideal ceremony location, the appropriate flower arrangements and other important aspects of the wedding.

Whatever type of wedding you desire; there will definitely be a season best for you. There is always the possibility of having part of the celebration outside especially if its summer or spring. Just imagine all the moments captured in the wedding videography as you recite your wedding vows against a scenic lake or a snow covered mountain. Just remember to have an alternative plan if ever Mother Nature decides to take control.

There are numerous reasons to get married in autumn. The richest colors are often seen in the fall season. The weather is mild and crisp creating spectacular scenery. Gold and copper theme is what comes into mind during this season. Flowers are rich in colors like purples, yellow and reds. Wedding decorations have an earthy feel around it as the wedding ceremony is ornamented with autumn flowers and wreaths. The wedding decoration can also include apples and pears because these seasonal fruits are available all year round.

A winter wonderland wedding can be the ideal set up for your wedding. It creates an ambiance of romance as snow falls outside during the exchange of wedding vows. This will definitely be an indoor event either in a romantic villa or hotel. The wedding decorations can include red and golden candles with winter blooms of tulips, snowdrops and white geisha. Winter fruits that can be enjoyed are cherries and apricots. Fewer people get married during this season which allows you to get better location choices. Hotels are beautifully decorated for the season, so you will be able to save on that feature but still enjoy a joyful affair. Traditionally, families gather during the holiday which is another benefit in planning your wedding at this time.

June is considered the best month to marry. One reason for this is that this is the first month of predictable good weather. Roses are usually in full bloom during this month. The summer months also mean the sun and the sea. During this time, beach themed weddings are popular. There are many available beach resorts that can make your dream beach wedding ceremony a reality. But getting married in summer can pose a lot of challenges too. Wedding locations and vendors are usually in high demand during these months. It is a good idea to plan every detail and book wedding services ahead of time.

Spring is the time for birth and renewal. This season will provide you with beautiful gardens, abundant with different kinds of roses and blooms. Fruits available for this time of year are peaches and passion fruits. Pastels colors will work best for the whole wedding entourage. Pick colors like lilacs, baby blues, blushing pink and sandy gold. These magnificent colors of spring will surely be captured in your wedding videography.

Choosing a wedding date on a particular time of the year can definitely set the atmosphere for your wedding whether it may be a winter wonderland or a beach wedding. Just remember that whatever season you choose, it really does not matter as long as you and your fiancé are able to enjoy your special day together.

About the Author

Good books to read over summer?

I have got a long summer ahead of me and I would like it if people could suggest somethings to read. I want something light and maybe with romance. With light humour, nothing to heavy. I enjoyed such books like Sophie Kinsella, the Twilight saga (though it is a a young adult book and I am 20), Memoirs of a Geisha, and girl with the pearl earrings. I dont mind light fantasy either. My reading lists are usually a little picky, I put down most of the books that I pick up, but there have been quite a few which I enjoyed. Romance like Twilight I really like but something maybe for adults without it being too erotic. Thanks for any suggestions you could provide.

Sarah Dessen:
Lock and Key - Ruby has been living alone in the farmhouse since her mother abandoned her, but when this is discovered she is sent to live with her sister Cora who she has not seen in about 10 years. Cora's husband Jamie is an extremely successful founder of a popular networking site on the Web. A nice large house, private school, new clothes, and a promise for the future are quite an adjustment to make.

Just Listen - Annabel Greene is the youngest of three very different sisters. She has had a very bad summer and must now return to school. She has never been so lonely or so sad, yet she must face each day. As she has her own problems to confront, her entire family is dealing with issues that plague her sister, Whitney. By circumstance, Annabel and Owen, whose life revolves around music, become friends. It is Owen who will help Annabel to meet certain challenges.

The Truth About Forever - Macy's father has recently died and she is feeling guilty. Her mother isn't coping with his death well at all. Macy's boyfriend, Jason, represents security, but frankly he is a clueless jerk. It might have been a very long summer, but then by chance Macy meets an interesting group of people. I loved everyone in the Wish Catering crew, but most especially Wes. No matter the difficulties life has thrown each member of Wish they persevere because they must.

Dreamland - Caitlin is the younger and she feels second-rate sister to Cass who is perfect in every way. Now Caitlin is 16 and rather than starting at Yale, Cass has run off with a guy. This year for Caitlin is about school, cheerleading, parties, her boyfriend, and so much much more. Unfortunately, this novel has an important message every young lady needs to hear.

Keeping the Moon - Colie and her mother used to be fat. They moved frequently and were homeless for a time. Then Colie's mother went on a "let's get healthy" kick and they both lost weight. Now mom has a good job and they live in a nice house. Unfortunately, because of a really mean girl at school, Colie has acquired a reputation she did not deserve. Mom is going to Europe to work for the summer and Colie is going to spend the summer with her eccentric aunt.

That Summer - Summers hold special memories for many of us: vacations, beaches, picnics, summer jobs, summer loves, maybe even a wedding or two. Haven, younger sister to Ashley, is fondly remembering a summer five years ago because in this current summer her world is falling apart. Her father had an affair, her parents divorced, and now he is getting married to the co-worker with whom he had the affair. Ashley is also getting married this summer and Haven doesn't understand why Ashley would choose this man.

Someone Like You - Halley and Scarlet, both 16 and juniors in high school, have been best friends forever. Scarlet was always the strong one, but now she needs Halley to be there for her. As they begin the new school year, Scarlet is pregnant and her boyfriend has been killed in a motorcycle accident. Meanwhile Halley has problems of her own. Halley and her mother, a psychologist, have gotten along well in the past but that has changed. Halley's mother used to write books about their relationship, but now they just argue.

This Lullaby - Remy, Jess, Chloe, and Lissa are friends (sort of) and now it is the summer between high school and college. This is a time of transition for each of them, but the story concentrates on Remy who because her mother has had a series of husbands and Remy never even met her father, she is very cynical about love.

Ann Brashares:
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants - A wonderful story about Tibby, Carmen, Lena, and Bridget, four very different friends who are spending their first summer apart from one another. Each of the girls faces her own crisis and, in the end, they are there for each other. It's a great story of friendship.
Sequels: The Second Summer of the Sisterhood; Girls in Pants: The Third Summer of the Sisterhood; and Forever in Blue: The Fourth Summer of the Sisterhood.

The Last Summer (of You & Me)
