A t-shirt printing artist's inspiration can sometimes come from exotic sources, one of which is Japan. In the world of fashion, Japan has produced a diverse body of work. From the classic lines to the weird get-ups, Japanese-inspired designs are perfect for printed kids' t-shirts, printed hoodies and printed sweatshirts.
Using Anime And Manga Characters In T-Shirt Printing
Perhaps the most popular imports from Japan today are the anime (animation) and the manga (comic books). Popular anime series like Naruto, Bleach, Hunter X Hunter, Ghost Fighter, and Dragon Ball Z have spawned numerous merchandise bearing the names and images of popular anime characters.
T-shirt printing artwork often features anime and manga characters with an edgy and fierce appearance. The colors are not flat, but painted in layers and gradients. The style is, in fact, so much similar to the way manga and Western comic book artists draw.
Anime and manga designs are perfect for printed kids' t-shirts. The shows and their characters are very popular among the young ones. Not only are they screen printed on t-shirts, but they are also found on printed hoodies and printed sweatshirts.
T-Shirt Printing With Domo-kun, Hello Kitty and Kero Kero Keroppi No Daibouken
Japan has not only shared its popular animes and comic books with the rest of the world. Long before the likes of Naruto and Son Goku caught the imagination of Generation X and the succeeding generations after, Sanrio characters Hello Kitty and Kero Kero Keroppi were the stars of children's tv show.
Hello Kitty is for girls. Pink ribbons and fluffy dresses match the cuteness of Hello Kitty's big round eyes and button nose. Like Barbie, Hello Kitty is also a fashion icon, spawning a wide array of merchandise, including printed girls' t-shirts.
For boys, Kero Kero Keroppi is their hero. The Romanized Japanese phrase "Kero Kero Keroppi No Daibouken" means Keroppi's Big Adventure. He is the main character in a video game where he has to rescue his girlfriend locked up in a castle.
Kids' t-shirt printing designs often include Hello Kitty and Keroppi designs. They are screen printed not only on t-shirts, but also on bags, caps and other types of merchandise, such as mugs and notebooks.
Domo-kun is initially not a kids' t-shirt printing design. Young adults often wear printed t-shirts with Domo-kun designs. Other types of merchandise printed with Domo-kun are caps, bags and mugs.
The adorable brown furry creature is the mascot of NHK Japan, a broadcasting network. Domo appears in a stop-motion animation shown as station ID. He has been featured in various promotions for 7-Eleven and Target. Nickolodeon has aired two-minute shorts featuring Domo-kun.
The little guy looks hip and cool, although his expression is weird. Domo's face freezes an expression of "cheery wonderment," which is how Clint Bickham, the writer of the Domo comic books, puts it. His large, sawtoothed mouth is eternally open.
T-Shirt Printing With Japanese Cultural Designs
Anime and cartoon designs are the most popular these days in kids' t-shirt printing. T-shirt printing for adults, on one hand, not only includes anime designs, but also cultural symbols of Japan like the dragon and kanji.
The dragon is the most popular and easily recognizable symbol of Asia, particularly Japan and China. The dragon design is very much common, but the quality of the print is based on the skill and detail that went into the t-shirt printing.
Kanji is another cultural symbol unique to Japan. Most common kanji symbols used in t-shirt printing are the characters for Love, Peace and Prosperity. Other kanji characters form sayings or phrases, like shogyou mujou, or "the impermanence of worldly things."
Other t-shirt designs inspired by Japan include the Geisha, the Samurai, the Ninja, the Rising Sun, the samurai sword, the cherry blossoms (sakura tree), and the Japanese gate, torii. All these have served as inspirations for t-shirt printing artists all over the world.

Whats Happened With the Big Brother Housemates
So Big Brother is finally over, but how are they getting on now we here you ask. Well we've summed up all the latest celebrity gossip from the big brother contestants for youre satisfaction!
Do You Remember This Happy Couple??
We caught up with Big Brother lovebirds Rex and Nicole doing a spot of shopping in Harvey Nicholls in London. After that they headed to Notting Hill for a bite to eat at Rex’s father’s restaurant, before heading to Harley Street to pick up some x-rays.
Just recently Rex was involved in a fight outside a club in Soho. “These five guys thought I was starting a fight and jumped me. I was really scared. It was five against one and I was surrounded.” Once Rex had got his x-ray results he was very guarded about the outcome. Speaking about the fate full night both Rex and Nicole admit if they had the choice to go on Big Brother again they wouldn’t claiming, “There are so many positives to it, but also so many negatives.”
Meanwhile we here plans for their new Osbourne style reality show are getting underway and Nicole revealed, “They’re going to follow our every move. They will film Rex opening a new restaurant and me with all my fashion.” Hang on did we miss something?
The Big Brother Boys Big Night Out…
Last night we caught up with former housemates Dale Howard and Stuart Pilkington leaving Faces nightclub after a personal appearance.
Despite recently confirming rumours he’s dating Chantelle Houghton, Dale was making the most of all the female attention. In fact we spotted the ladies man leaving the club with not one, not two, but three lucky ladies. Here’s hoping Chantelle’s not the jealous type!
Catching Up With Big Brother Housemates…
Oi don’t groan! Nobody is making you read this story and anyway you know full well that you can’t resist it so quit b*tching. Last night we caught up with Stepf McMichael as she headed to the Crystal Club in London with her new boyfriend (?) in tow. Meanwhile on the other side of town fellow BB housemate Sarah Folino was making her way to the Kitts Club sporting a Geisha Girl fancy dress outfit for the launch of one night in Japan. See we told you you wouldn’t be able to resist reading it, ha!
Big Brother Stars Snapped Up By The BBC…
Reality TV stars Luke and Bex are celebrating after being given the opportunity of a lifetime. The former Big Brother housemates have been lined up to host a BBC concert for this year’s Children In Need, which takes place in November. BBC insiders predict this could be the beginning of something big as it’s the first time any BB stars have been given the chance to host a live show…
“They’re naturals in front of the camera and they have amazing chemistry. It is in at the deep end. There will be no room for mistakes. They’ll have to be right on the money, but if they pull it off it could land them a mega TV deal.”
Mario Marconi Is Caught Cheating On Lisa…
Sleazy reality TV star Mario Marconi (née Shaun Astbury) was caught cheating on his long-term girlfriend Lisa Appleton just hours before he proposed to her live on camera in the Big Brother house.
CCTV images have emerged of Mario kissing a blonde woman in a hotel bar, just a few hours before he headed to the Big Brother studios in Elstree to declare his love for Lisa. Mario met the woman in question, Victoria Anderson, whilst she was enjoying a drink in the Premiere Inn bar *sniggers* with her boyfriend. When Victoria’s fella nipped outside for a cigarette, Mario swooped in on the girl and was caught kissing her on camera. Moments later, hotel security images show the couple entering the lift and heading toward Mario’s hotel room. The pair didn’t emerge from the boudoir for nearly five hours.
Mario has since admitted kissing the girl, but denied doing anything else, claiming she had “set him up”. Yes, yes of course, we’re sure it was all perfectly innocent. We wouldn’t be surprised if they just sat in that room playing scrabble, talking about politics and the precarious state of the UK’s economy. Yes, that sounds feasible…

Where to find live Japanese Geisha Dance entertainmen?
Planning a batchulere party and want to know where i can hire a Japanese Geisha girl for live entertainment. It's tea party. And would like to have a Geisha girl for a tea ceremony or to greet guests. Please help
You probably can't. First of all, a real Geisha (not Geisha girl, just Geisha) would be incredibly expensive to hire. Second, if you're outside of Japan, you're probably not going to find a real Geisha anywhere near you. However, you might find people who portray/perform as Geisha. Apparently there are three in St. Louis (website here: http://bonitaharmon.tripod.com/index.html ). Even if you don't live nearby, you might consider contacting them anyway to see if they know of any similar performers near you. Another option would be to check with Japanese restaurants or cultural organizations near you or near where you'll be having your party to see if they know of any people who could meet your needs.
End of the mystique
How the mighty have fallen. This week a screeching fluorescence of construction barriers went up on the triangle where Pitt St meets Vincent St in central Auckland. Flora's massage parlour was still pretending to assert its presence...
