framing a big piese of art?
I have a piece of embroidary that needs framing. it is more than 45 inches long. I wanted to put it on a piece of silk then frame it with wood. it is quite costly to do it professionaly. Anyone has any idea if I can do it myself?
As the other answerer said, you CAN do it yourself, but if it is as important to you, that you want to have it framed,spend the money and have it done by professionals. If you do it yourself, you'll have to have everything done with archival products, special sun protective glass, acid proof matting...and on and on In the long run, if you want to preserve it, let the pro's. do it..
