Here are some more information for Foo Dog:

Tai Chi, Chi Gong and other meditative styles of martial arts have been around for quite sometime. These meditative styles of martial arts are sometimes called internal styles. Styles such as BaGua (or 8 palms), is based off of the numerology of works such as the I Ching. These styles of martial arts focus on deep breathing, meditation, relaxation, and proper body alignment and posture. For the purposes of this article, I will be speaking mostly of Tai Chi, but really any internal Chinese art could apply to what is being said here.
Tai Chi is excellent for stress relief and encouraging proper posture. Many practitioners of Tai Chi Chaun claim that they never see, or need to see, a chiropractor. Tai Chi is heavily influenced by Chinese medicine, which is a holistic approach to well being which incorporates what westerners might call physiotherapy, massage, and homeopathy, but also acupuncture and theories of how the body works. Many highly priced and sought after medical doctors are also homeopaths and naturopaths and study eastern medicine.
Tai Chi sessions last about an hour. Students are encouraged to relax and focus their attention on the basic movements which are formulated to improve strength, flexibility, coordination, body awareness, and balance. Deep breathing exercises are also a major part of Tai Chi, and other internal Chinese martial arts. These arts, if practiced correctly, can also be used for self-defense. Tai Chi uses push hands, search hands, and sticky hands drills for learning how to knock someone off balance, find the center of someone else's balance, and disable them from doing the same to you. It is quite a tricky skill to learn, but can be quite handy in a fight if you know how to use it properly.
The focus of Tai Chi lessons is often cultivating a healthy spirit, in other words, reducing stress and improving concentration and body control / will power. Not everyone uses Tai Chi for fighting. In fact, most don't. Because Tai Chi is typically practiced slowly, the movements may not be suitable for children, who are restless and can easily become bored (adults often enter the "zone", or a zen like state. This is where the real stress relief benefits can come in). In places like China or Taiwan, Tai Chi and Ba Gua are often the last arts a practitioner will learn after other more external (punching and kicking) styles of Gung Fu (sometimes also called Kung Fu).
If you are looking for an unparalleled way of reducing your stress level, improving your strength, concentration, balance, posture, and all around health, Tai Chi and other related internal martial arts would be an excellent addition to any work out routine.

Guardians of the Home: Traditional Statues of Property Protection
Many ancient homes and important buildings were guarded by stone images that represented protection by the otherworld. If your tastes run to statuary and you want to explore the idea of decorating your house with silent guardians, consider the following:
Fu Dog (also known as Fu Lion, Foo Dog, lion of Buddha, Shishi or Imperial Guardian Lion):
Fu Dogs come in pairs, as the female (characterized by the single cub under her left paw) guards the people living inside the home, while the male (whose right paw rests on a ball) guards the home itself. Fu Dogs were actually Chinese depictions of lions, but since lions are not native to China, the original artists were stuck using the next closest model at hand, which would have been the larger domestic dogs used for guardianship purposes.
Sphinx:
Sphinxes are figures of lions with human heads that were guardians of important structures. The most famous Sphinx guards the pyramids of Giza. Another famous Sphinx was the one whom Oedipus defeated by guessing correctly her riddle. Egypt is not the only home of the Sphinx; it is also known to India, Burma, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. The Sphinx is a guardian of mysteries, knowledge, and power.
Gargoyle:
The word "gargoyle" sounds Gothic and mysterious, but it came from French "gargouille", which meant "throat" or "gargle". This was because the early origins of this stone image was as decoration for a spout that directed water from the roof away from the sides of a building. However, they were also used for protection, to scare evil spirits away. This is why so many depictions of gargoyles are of ugly, fantastical creatures.
Grotesque (Chimera):
"Grotesque" is how architecture distinguishes gargoyles from statuary that was not designed as a waterspout. The term comes from Latin, sharing its origin with "grotto", meaning a small hollow. Grotesques can be just as the name claims, with many resembling imps and creatures of man's darker imaginings of a world beyond.
Men With Big Swords:
Warrior guardians can be found watching over temples and graves in China for millennia. They represented many different beings, from symbols of armies long-dead to depictions of gods who granted the house their protection. Some legends held that if the home was threatened, the warriors would wake up from their stone sleep to defend it.
Since not many cultures are going to be thrilled if you take their sacred statues home after a tour, it's fortunate that many companies advertising today on the Internet carry replicas of many ancient artifacts. If you do a search on the kind of guardian that you want, you will likely find many avenues to indulge your taste.

Why Do Foo Dogs (FuDogs) wear a bell?
I've tried researching it, but all I ever find is information about there origin, and meaning and meaning of the ball and the cub, but nothing on the bell around their necks, Someone please help me in this mystery.
i apologize, i'm just too lazy to google right now, but i know bells are hanged everywhere - well, not always bells, but you know... any sort of [metal] objects that will ding - in chinese culture in order to alarm in case of a ghost/spirit's presence.
so they have 2 purposes:
1. they let you know a spirit comes;
2. their [magical] sound chases the spirit away.
put it next to the dogs' symbol as guardians and you solved the puzzle.
