Here are some more information for Figurine Amulet:

Jewel crafting is the newest profession in the World of Warcraft game introduced in the Burning Crusade expansion. With this profession, players are able to make jewelry such as amulets, rings, and trinkets, as well as cut gems to put into items with sockets. Jewel crafting can also combine lesser gems and reagents to create rare gems. Jewel crafters can also make figurines for themselves. Figurines are animal-shaped trinkets that are bind-on pickup items which can be used to summon a magical creature that gives players varied boosts to already-existing abilities or even adds new ones.
Who Can Participate In This Skill?
Players who purchase Burning Crusade are the only ones who can have the jewel crafting ability. However, those who did not purchase the expansion can still use items made by jewel crafters.
How Do I Become a Jewel Crafter?
Aside from having purchased the World of Warcraft Burning Crusade expansion, you must train the ability in Exodar (Alliance) or Silvermoon (Horde) to become a Jewel crafter. The Draenei give a 5 point bonus to this sought-after skill. However, this is of limited value. You will also need a jewel crafter's kit which can be bought from a vendor for 8 silver. At skill level 300, working with gems and metals requires a Simple Grinder.
What Type Of Materials Can I Use & Where Can I Find Them?
You can use metal ores, bars and gems which can be uncommon, rare and/or epic in quality. Gems can be found and can be mined by using the ability Prospecting. Prospecting is an ability available to jewel crafters at skill level 20 and requires 5 ores to use. The ores are destroyed when used upon which the player is able to mine gems. Gems can also be looted from mobs or bought from vendors and auction houses.
What Are Jewel Crafting 'Recipes'?
These are design levels of recipes and can be divided into the following levels (in chronological order): apprentice, journeyman, expert, artisan, master, and grand master.

Gems can be put into sockets of a different color but the special bonus will not activate.
It's clear that the skill of jewel crafting offers many advantages to World of Warcraft players. So anyone who can handle gems and metals will have a huge advantage and so although the jewelry is valuable, the ability to create is even more so.

Why Egyptian Jewelry Is Special
The story of Egyptian jewelry goes back some 5000 years to around 3000 BC. By this time the Egyptians were already experts in the use of gold alloyed with different metals in their jewelry so that they could get the right combination of both hardness and color. By 2500 BC you could see a number of antique pendants and mummies with figurines of animals and goddesses besides rings from Egypt. You can still see genuine antique Egyptian jewelry from around 1400 BC with the famous scarab beetle motif.
A visit to the online antique jewelry stores will tell you why Egyptian jewelry is so special. When you see these excellent copies of antique jewelry from the 3100-900 BC period you feel as if you have been transported to the days of Cleopatra or you are among the Pharaohs. There are pieces from the period of Tutankhamun besides the famed Thebes’ Crown jewels.
There are beautiful antique pendants like the Ankh pendant in sterling silver in these online antique jewelry stores. The figure in the pendant represented eternal life and it is believed that the wearer acquired supernatural powers. The ancient Egyptians would place such amulets along with the mummies in the crypt to ensure their everlasting life.
You also have exquisite silver bracelets with scarab beetles, lapis and pearl necklaces and a pair of most attractive Thebes Petal Earrings in the shape of the lotus in lapis and sterling silver.
You are carried back to the Middle Kingdom with a pair of Onyx Earrings or an Egyptian sterling silver and lapis tube necklace. Lapis with its brilliant blue color worked in gold blessed the wearer with the sun’s protection. The barrel garnet necklace, the pre dynastic figure in sterling silver, the Egyptian Dashur necklace from the Middle Kingdom, the Scarab and Lapis earrings, the lapis and turquoise necklace and the cat amulet pendant each of these pieces of Egyptian jewelry crafted with precision and care has a story to tell regarding the culture and history of the ancient Egyptians. It is for these reasons that Egyptian jewelry is so special.

Yaweh's wife covered up in the bible?
http://news.discovery.com/history/god-wife-yahweh-asherah-110318.html
I disagree with this historian's conclusion.
If references to Mrs. Yahweh were "edited" out of the bible - why does the name Ashteroh still turn up?
The amulets and figurines she refers to couldn't have very much info inscribed on them. Unfortunately the Discovery article does not name the ancient texts.
Just claiming that there is a connection (and theorize that it means marriage) doesn't seem logical.
There are a lot of pagan gods mentioned in the bible - Milcom, Baal, Chemosh. We know there was worship of pagan gods among the Israelites.
This historian just doesn't seem to make a strong case.
He's nuts!
