In case you did not know, Dragon Ball is a pretty big name right now. No matter if you flip on your TV or you are looking on the Internet, you will not go too long without seeing a Dragon Ball ad. So it should come of no shock that they are looking to cash in on the Dragon Ball name. They are doing this by making Dragon Ball movies, as well as toys and clothing. However, one of the best selling things that you can find on with the Dragon Ball characters is, of course, the Dragon Ball video games. The Dragon Ball video games are very popular, because the characters in the show do things that we could never do in real life. The video games give kids the chance to live out these ideas without getting hurt. There have been many video games based off this series, but very few of them have been very good. Most of the games you could tell were just thrown together to get people to spend their money on the game. Most of the people in the video game world did not pay much attention to the games. The only people that liked them and got them where the Dragon Ball fans.
However, as time has gone on, the video games have improved. Some of the first good Dragon Ball games people saw actually showed up as fighter games. These came to arcades and, of course, to home consoles. Some of the best fighter games actually came to the Nintendo hand held first. These were games that were fun for everyone to play, whether you know what the story was about or not. These games allowed you to put two characters against each other and see who would come out on top. Of course, most of the games seem to be lacking just a little something. They were fun, but they did not raise the bar. Then the Nintendo Wii came out, and they started making Dragon Ball games for that. The first fighter that was on it was great. It has motion controls, so you feel like you are your favorite character. This game received good scores, but it did not have a long lasting appeal. Then the second game out for the Wii, and they mixed everything that was on the first Nintendo Wii game and they added Internet play to it. Now you could play against other people all over the world.
Video games about popular animes have become a way of life. Most of the time the only people that like the video games based on an anime are the people that like that anime. However, we are starting to see some of the games that appeal to more than just a few of the fans. They are appealing to hardcore gamers, and because of this, anime series like Dragon Ball are going to live on for new people to see and love.
