Here are some more information for Dyed Modern:

Because people have added color to cloth for as long as they have been covering their nakedness, it is inevitable that hand dyed finishes will remain a feature of fashion, which tries to grab the eye with unusual customised effects.
We are all familiar with the heavy decorative bleaching that is so prevalent in denimwear products. These decorative finishes emered from China in the 80's and 90's and today no wardrobe is complete without pair of denims that appears to be stressed by age, but that was only purchased the day before. The fabric is stressed using enzymes, bleach and even electric sanding machines to give it that well-worn look.
In 2001 and 2002 Prada took tie dye to the catwalks, and for a couple of seasons the world followed slavishly in his wake. Mostly we saw graded colors, fading smoothly one into another, but we also saw harsh contrasting splits of dark color on light backgrounds. There was delicate dyed striping over fabric that was already printed with a stripe, to create uniquely layered effects.
While the European season for tie dye is usually short-lived and faddish in nature, the African fashion scene is quite different. Tie dye has been practiced throughout the continent for centuries. Northern and central Africa has a rich tradition of hand dyed fabrics. For this reason, you will find tie dye in most Afro-Centric fashion ranges, on a regular basis.
In 2005 South African Fashion Week was alive with tie-dyed finishes, represented in the ranges of Stoned Cherrie, Marion & Lindie, Black Coffee, Sun Goddess, JJ Schoeman and Vino Moodley. Gavin Rajah did his bit at Cape Town Fashion Week.
Tie dye has a truly African aspect. It is a craft that one can start with almost nothing, and turn into an income for even the very poor. This is why it will continue to thrive in Africa and India where unemployment is high.
Tie dye will always liven up the local fashion scene due to its versatile nature. Tie dye turns the ordinary into something unique and unusual, a state that many yearn for in this era of mass production and sameness. Tie dye is hand crafted color. It is time for the return of the artisan.
What's Your Style? Formal & Elegant or Casual & Modern
Whether you've known what your wedding day would look like since you were in preschool or your mind is boggled by wedding options, wedding invitations are an important part of setting the mood for your guests. This guide will help you figure which style is best for your special day. Will it be elegant wedding invitations with a formal, vintage feel? Or are modern wedding invites, with bold colors and unique materials, more your style?
Formal
Chapel-length veil. Black tie. Six-course gourmet meal. If these are a few of your favorite things, then the formal wedding is for you. Elegant invitations work well for weddings with a classy style.
But what does an elegant wedding invitation look like? Forget glittered embellishments and tie-dyed paper. These 3 things will help create the formal atmosphere that makes your day special:
1. Paper - Nothing says elegance better than high-quality printing on heavyweight paper. Look for papers, such as 100% cotton or linen, that convey formality. Elegant invitations are often printed using letterpress or engraving methods. In fact, engraving will give your wedding stationery the same formality and style as an invitation from the queen.
2. Wording - Brides who choose elegant invitations often use traditional wording--think "Mr. and Mrs. Aloysius Meriweather request the honor of your presence..." The internet is loaded with websites that offer suggestions for wording that is more formal than what you might find on modern wedding invites. Remember to include courtesy titles, like Dr., Mrs., or Miss, when appropriate.
3. Envelopes - The packaging goes a long way toward creating the elegant wedding invitations you're looking for. Use an invitation website or bridal etiquette site to learn the proper way to layer invitations, RSVP cards, maps, and envelopes. While it may seem like a complex process, proper packaging will give your nuptials a classy tone.
Casual
Flowered bridal headband. Toes in the warm sand. Dancing down the aisle to your favorite song. More brides are taking a modern approach to their wedding by creating a casual atmosphere. Casual weddings are all about making you and your guests feel comfortable, and modern wedding invites can help you do that.
1. Paper - Modern wedding invitations aren't limited to heavyweight papers or fancy fonts. From bio-degradable paper to bold and textured stock, the choices are endless. Fonts on modern invitations don't need to look like fine calligraphy, either. Instead use an easy-to-read, casual font such as Helvetica.
2. Wording - Maybe traditional wording sounds overly formal to you? Drop the formal titles and full names in favor of informal monikers like Lizzy or Big Jim. If you or a loved one is the poetic type, pen a verse to announce the big event. Letting your creative juices flow can lend flair to modern wedding invitations.
3. Envelopes - Make a grand statement by using modern wedding stationery. Consider adding fun embellishments, like a funky charm or bold ribbon, to the invites. Another way to "wow" your guests is by sending invitations with real flair. From invitations rolled up like scrolls to using wedding stationery that's embedded with seeds that family, friends and loved ones can plant in their garden, there are no limits on modern wedding invites.
From elegant wedding invitations to modern wedding invitations, what you send to your guests will set the tone for the day. With a little planning, you're sure to find a wedding invitation that's right for you.

What do you think of the spelling mistakes on Y!A?
I've seen almost everyone here spell 'dye' as 'die'; 'divorce' as 'divorse' ; 'waste' as 'waist' etc etc.
Do you think we should just accept these most common spelling errors as a part of modern english?
yeah indeed. it may be that some people get caught between UK and US spellings etc: centre and center
and memorize and memorise.
Brian Cox: 'If they pay me a lot of money, I'll do the film, and if they don't, I won't'
Brian Cox seems to have made a career out of being everywhere at once, popping up in Hollywood blockbusters next to Brad, Jake, Matt and friends one minute and lending his actorly weight to a low-key television drama or a play at London's Royal Court the next. In the past seven months alone, he's been a scientist with a death-wish in the BBC's re-make of The Day of the Triffids, the beleaguered ...
