It's a forest green color and it doesn't go with our house scheme anymore. I have had this cover since I left home so it means alot to me and I want to keep using it. Can I dye it another color to make it dark blue? Or should I just get another one?

Get another cover. You will like the difference the new cover makes so much that you won't be as attached to the green one. Save the green one until you have another use for it. Maybe sew it into something else useful.
