Do Chinese jade necklaces have red strings?
For my birthday, my Chinese friend gave me a necklace of what i think is a Jade apple on a red string. I assumed that i was supposed to put the like, charm thing on a normal silver chain like the rest of my jewelry, but when I wore it to school, he mentioned something about the change. So, was I supposed to keep it on the red string? Does that have some sort of special significance? Or was I right in changing it?
The jade is supposed to be on the red string.

I think you should put the red string back on it, but it's your necklace now so it's up to you.
