Here are some more information for Chinese Gold:

The massive online game World of Warcraft recently hit it's mark when the new game "Age of Conan" hit the market. This new, bloody-gore game has WoW fanatics leaving their realms and switching it up, but the question remains, has WoW seen it's day?
I have been an MMO gamer for about 6 years now, I was a huge fan of FFXI and then WoW came along and that was the end of FFXI for me and many other gamers the world over. The new style of gameplay that World of Warcraft introduced was simply amazing, instead of having to do the traditional "grinding" for experience and taking you months upon months to hit the top level, WoW introduced the questing for experience - an option that has set the standard for MMO gamers, sure grinding is fun, but having to do it non-stop is redundant and boring, so WoW made a big impact on the gaming community.
Now the new AOC (Age of Conan) has hit the market, it uses the same concept, and is intended for mature audiences, it is bloody, gory, seductive in nature and has sold millions of copies since it hit the market, how are the developers over at Blizzard Entertainment taking this? Will they come back with an even harder-hitting product than World of Warcraft? Only time will tell, the internet is the new day-in-age and Age of Conan is stepping up to the plate swinging hard and hitting homeruns.
Of course, WoW does have an expansion coming out near the end of this year, which may bring old players back, but from my experience, once you make the switch to a newer and better game, most of the time, you will not go back to the old outdated ones. Sometimes I think about playing FFXI, but then again I remember how repetitive the leveling process was and I refuse to give Square-Enix another dime of my money (they used to make such awesome RPG games - that was before they went from Squaresoft to SquareEnix...)
As it stands, Age of Conan has only been out a few short months and has already sold over 4 million copies and WoW players are flocking to it like moths to a light in a dark tunnel. On the forums, WoW players are saying this new game isn't going to hurt Blizzard, but the fact stands it already has.
I personally will wait to play this new hit-wonder because with any new online game, there are still bugs that need worked out and the price will drop drastically from $50 to around $30 or $40 once the market gets saturated, so if you are a WoW player, take that advice, you can fork out the cash now and expect to have gameplay problems or you can wait until they get it up and running properly and not have to pay so much for the game itself.

Chinese Wow Gold Farmers - Are They Being Exploited?
As a WoW gamer, I was once tempted to buy gold from one of the many WoW gold merchants online, thankfully I decided to do some research first, what I found was interesting. Although it may seem like a good strategy at first, since this is will save you time, but your actually helping a questionable industry.
A research paper was done by U of C San Diego student Ge Jin, it was titled Chinese Gold Farmers in the Game World. What this study found was quite interesting and exposed to some degree the amount of exploitation in the exploding virtual commodities market. Ge Jin went to the Si Chuan Province, Fu Jian Province, and the Dong Bei area to do his hands on research. He found a lot of gold farms. They were scattered all over the provinces he visited. Ge found small ones and large ones. The gold farming industry is large and growing and he found its genesis was about 2001. Due to worldwide demand the farms have grown exponentially. It is an interconnected web where geographical boundaries are no longer an obstacle. This kind of environment has fed the virtual gold farming industry.
The typical large scale gold farm provides meals and dorms, the farmers live there and work on 12 hour shifts with very brief breaks. Also typical is that farms have 2 farmers for every computer so that they are farming for 24 hours. The farmers are usually paid from between 40 U.S.D. to 200 U.S.D. monthly. Ge also found farmers that are willing to work for free as long as food and shelter are provided. That was quite a disturbing find. China is the world's primary source of cheap labor, knowing this it was not surprising how poorly the farmers are treated.Though I am hopeful that in the long run this will change and virtual farmers are paid a wage equal to their labor, it is unlikely until China opens up its markets.
I hope this article enlightens you a little and give you pause next time you consider buying some pixels to enhance your gaming experience. As always, it is just best to take the high road and get yourself a guide or walkthrough that will help you get what you want honestly. There are a ton of resources online as well that will greatly enhance your WoW gaming experience, including well reputed gold guides, go that route instead. Happy gaming!

What color is "chinese" yellow? Is it a true yellow or gold or mustard color?
I want to paint my front door chinese yellow.
None of the above.
Take a look at this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Fine-Imperial-Yellow-Incised-Bowl-Xianfeng-Mark-Period_W0QQitemZ130234956786QQihZ003QQcategoryZ37921QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It's a lighter yellow with a touch of gold.
Not as flat as true mustard.
Historically, red is really the lucky color to the Chinese.
Good luck and I hope your door brings you much prosperity!
ETA: And yes, I have seen the Imperial yellow color up close and personal in clothing, pottery as well as artifacts.
The bowl that I referenced is the best depiction of Imperial yellow that I could come up with to be historically accurate.
