Here are some more information for Chinese Calligraphy Set:

Women want to improve their lives. Retreats provide an excellent opportunity to offer a variety of workshops to help them. Since several workshops are usually taking place at the same time, the guests will need to choose their priorities and then pursue the classes that best meet their own needs. Most weekend retreats offer at least two workshop segments. Each segment may offer two or more electives.
When selecting which workshops to coordinate, the easiest thing to do is to think through your women and their talents:
- Do you have a Pampered Chef Consultant? Would she teach a cooking class?
- How about a Master Gardener? Would she teach a class on perennials?
- A Creative Memories Consultant? Would she host a scrap-booking center?
The goal is to offer a balance of fun, informational, hands-on and physically challenging options.
The retreat registration form should include the workshop choices and allow a place for women to pre-register. This information will be ever-so-helpful to the workshop leaders as they determine a list of supplies. If there is a cost involved in the workshop, be sure to include that in the brochure.
The final step for you will be to coordinate with the facilities team regarding which class will be held where. It is important that you organize these areas well in advance so women do not waste time getting lost.
Here are the basic workshop categories and some suggestions for each:

Chinese Items
Objets Chinois « Chinese items » is a new company created 1 year ago by Hadrien Recanati a young French businessman living in china.
Hadrien. Could you please explain us how you arrived in China?
Since I was three years old, my parents have always taken my two brothers and myself to Asia, from Nepal to Malaysia, Thailand to India, Great Wall to Komodo island. We visited unusual places, met great people, friendly, respectful and helpful. I feel very close to these people who are so different from us in appearance but are full of sincerity and joy.
Concerning China, I had the opportunity to study three years in Beijing, so I didn’t really hesitate. My love for Asia has determinate my choice.
Why did you decide to create ObjetsChinois “Chinese Items”?
After I moved to Beijing, I decided to create my own business in order to pay the rent of my apartment every month! It took me few months to decide to sell some Chinese items in France (and all around the world) because, “At the beginning I was only a collector of Chinese art. Because of the high prices of the Asian art on the European market I was curious to understand why was it that expensive. It didn’t took me long time to realize that the prices of Asian art sold in France were not justified. My passion made my motivation grow so that I could allow people in love with Chinese and Asian art to buy their favorite items to a fair price. Due to my activity on the Internet, I work alone and have no middleman. This allows me to have fewer costs and make attractive prices for my clients (my prices are until 10 times lower than those of a usual shop). You know, the history of China is also fabulous and rich as ours. Since I travel around Asia I am always interested in the art market. And China has many treasures which we are fond.
My goal is to share my love for Asian and Chinese art by selling it to an affordable price. ObjetsChinois is becoming famous all around the world due to its networks of resellers. You can now find items from ObjetsChinois in several countries like: Indonesia, Portugal, France, Spain, Italia, China…
Which kind of items do you sell ? and where do you find them?
I am specialized in Chinese ancestors paintings, wooden Buddha statues, Chinese kakemonos (Paintings), Chinese traditional items, snuff boxes, cricket boxes, Chinese old wooden boxes, and on the Miao Minority items (clothes and Jewellery). About my items, “of course” I love the beauty and the ancient, but I quickly realized that the acquisition of an authentic Ming dynasty statue was almost impossible! This is why I am now specialized in the reproduction market (but it’s the high quality one). All my wooden Buddha statues are made in a Nineteenth century wood. It adds undeniable value to the object.
I also developed a network of suppliers and brokers (some of them have become loyal friends). They often have original items, but which can hide very poor imitation. We must learn to recognize the bone, ivory, plastic, resin, silver, nickel […]. Some Chinese are unscrupulous, as elsewhere. Every week I go in the Beijing suburbs in order to find unusual items.
What are the qualities of ObjetsChinois “Chinese Items”, and why do you operate all around the world?
I can set my company in 4 words
- Low Prices
- High Quality items
- Unique items
- Professional
I want to succeed in changing the rules. What I mean is that a successful selling art item online isn’t usual. One, usually buy a piece of art in an art gallery, because it is important to see it for real, to touch it, to get one special connection with it. People are still afraid to buy art items on Internet. It is my goal to reassure the clients and create a confident relation.
ObjetsChinois “Chinese Items” is still a small company. Right now the profit allows me to live and study in Beijing, not more! But I know that the market for Chinese items is very important, so I recently decided to subcontract with a Chinese company to create a new website. This allows me to limit my sales on Ebay and to develop my own website www.ObjetsChinois.com. I also hired a person who does the world E-Marketing. Why would I limit my art-buyers to France or to the European continent when I can have a worldwide market?
Do you really have low prices?
Just check my internet website! If you have a look at the prices on the Internet, you will find out that my items can’t be found at a cheaper price then the ones on my website. For example:
- Chinese ancestor paintings
- Chinese wooden statue items
- Chinese cricket box
Talk about your future, What will be new?
Objets Chinois launched a few months ago a new collection of ethnics jewelries. They are from the Miao minorities and are being reviewed by our designers so that they can be weared easily. You can find our new collection on our website.
Objets Chinois, Hadrien Recanati
About the Author
Objets Chinois « Chinese items » is a new company created 1 year ago by Hadrien Recanati a young French businessman living in china.
What could a high school Chinese Culture Club do for activities and fundraisers?
So far, we've watched some Chinese movies. Calligraphy would be difficult because 1] there aren't many people who know how to do calligraphy, 2] what dialect would it be taught in? and 3] who would want to attend a club to learn a lesson [like school]?
We're thinking of buying a mahjong set, and I already have a Chinese Chess and Go set at home. I don't know how to play these games very well and I don't know if it'll go well with people at school.
We also don't have that many people because there's nothing interesting to pull students in.
Cooking would be an option, but we'd have to have someone who actually knows how to cook, have the ingredients, have the supplies needed [our room is in the science building], and be able to cook it safely at school.
There aren't many conventional things to do for Chinese culture (I can only think of ping pong), let alone something appropriate for a school club.
There are lots of things that can be done to promote Chinese culture.
Music
Dance
Fashion/history
I would bet that there are some Chinese people in your community that could share folk tales and oral history stories.
Others may be able to relate stories of modern history and oppression under Mao, etc.
