is it just me....or would u eat out of mid century dishware?
hello
i have a thing for mid century style 50's etc so i been redoing my whole kitchen that way in the red/black/white cherries theme. i know it's not everyone's cup of tea but i w/e. i am 30 and thats my style. i seen so many of these really cool dishware cast iron pots and such from that era and a sunbeam toaster refurbished etc. and they just don't make that stuff anymore. but then i get to thinking about where has it been? who all ate out of it? will a good washing and soaking with bleach etc. take care of this and make it REALLY clean enough for me to eat out of it? what do you think, would you be ok eating out of these types of dishware or is it just me. lol. thanks!

Washing/bleach will not get rid of lead or other harmful materials that the dishware might contain. Before considering eating out of any of it you need to have it tested for lead.
Any pre-owned dishware made before 1970 or made outside of the US should be checked for lead.
