Remembered all over the world as one of the most original practitioners of 'Abstract Expressionism,' Franz Kline (May 1910-May 19620) was an American artist who had a knack for spontaneous subjects. The genius was born in the little town of Wilkes-Barnes, Pennsylvania, in the year 1910. At the age of seven, life went downhill for little Franz, as his father committed suicide and his mother decided to remarry three years after her husband's death. Franz Kline went to Girard College, an academy cum orphanage for boys. In the 30s, Franz, the creator of "Painting #11, went to the Boston University and attended the Boston Art Students league. Kline then enrolled at the Heatherly's Fine Art School, UK.
Rembrandt, Charles Keenes, and Hukusai can be pointed out as Franz Kline's inspiration. Looking closely at his works, one can see 'Expressionist' undertones. He was even called 'Action Painter,' due to the intense and the continuous style of his works that focuses not mainly on the image, rather on the canvas and brush strokes. In 1938, Franz went back to the US, right after graduating. He kicked off his painting career by painting realistic subjects, such as cityscapes and skyscrapers in New York. Then he met Willem de Kooning, who influenced him to turn to 'Abstraction.' After a few years, Kline developed his own distinct style, defined by big brushstrokes, in large, bold, black and white painting, as evident in "Painting #11."
His most famous painting, Painting #11, which he worked on in 1951, is in black and white. A deceptively and poignantly subtle work of art, "Painting #11" looks like Asian Calligraphy of some sort. Franz's most famous work has his trademark, what looks like a grid, including in this one having white and black compressed zones. Looking into his paintings, one may observe Asian influence, with most of them resembling Chinese or Japanese calligraphy. Kline however, does not admit this. He rather points out that his works are an imagery of industrial and architectural icons, such as buildings, bridges, engines, and the like. In 1959, he again started using colors in his work. It can be said that he used more colored during the twilight of his life.
In 1962, Franz Kline died in the New York City, due to rheumatic heart disease. He may be gone, but his works such as "Painting #11" and his legacy will be around for all eternity and will always be remembered as one of most unique and original 'Expressionists' of his time.

Can't adjust pressure sensitivity on Adobe Illustrator?
I'm using an Apitek 600U tablet with pressure sensitivity on Illustrator CS3.
On photoshop, works great, pressure sensitive and so on. But on illustrator, when using a calligraphy brush where you should be able to change the brush to pressure setting, it won't let me, its greyed out, and can only choose fixed or random.
I read on another forum that someone once downloaded the Wacom driver and this solved it, rather than using the Aiptek drivers. But there are so many different Wacom drivers for each tablet, which one??
Is there any other way to solve this?
