There are solid bar of soaps, there are liquid soaps, and now, there are foam soaps. These soaps are liquid soaps whipped with air to fluff them up in - you guessed it - foam, so when you rub your hands together, it cleans it quickly enough without any fuss. They are usually sold in bottles or in dextrose-like bags, which can not really contribute to the design or the motif of your bathroom. To have the soap available for everyone, you can easily put them in a foam soap dispenser.

Although liquid soap dispensers can be considered more popular in the market, a foam soap dispenser is slowly making its way to the top because of its features. One things that sets it apart from other dispensers is that is reduces more waste because it does not produce any puddles under it like some liquid soap dispensers do. They also squeeze out a hefty amount of soap that can even clean more than the hands. And because it contains foam - soap mixed with a little water and air, therefore lighter - it does not clog up as much as the liquid dispensers. And it is easier to refill too. All you need to do is leave a little of the foam behind, put in some water, shake it up, and you have a dispenser full of foam.

You can also look for a foam soap dispenser that matches both your taste and your bathroom. There are different models to choose from. Most of them are made from durable plastic which can range from different sizes. One model is the pump type, usually in bottles, where you push a button to let the foam squeeze out. Some dispensers have levers that you have to pull forward to let the soap out. If you have a small bathroom and a limited counter space, you can also opt for the wall mount type which you can fix on your wall near your sink.

If you want something with more suave, and you have enough money for it, there are also electronic dispensers available now. When you put your hand underneath the dispenser, its sensors will detect either the motion or the heat from your hands and will automatically squeeze out a regulated amount of foam for washing. Although they need less effort from people, it requires batteries for it to run by itself. But remember that whether it is the bottle type of the wall mount type you prefer, it is advisable to get a foam soap dispenser with a transparent casing so you can monitor how much foam soap is still in there and when you have to refill it with more.

A foam soap dispenser is available for buying anywhere, from your local department store, or at large home stores around your area. You can even look for one online at different websites. Look for a foam soap dispenser that suits your style and you are on your way to a squeaky clean you.

New cosmetic catalogue hits the right notes

Bormioli Rocco’s latest plastic cosmetic packaging catalogue draws inspiration from opera maestros and their heroines. In this way the Plastic Division pays a special homage to Verdi, Puccini and Rossini and their operatic
masterpieces.
Each product line bears the title of a famous work - Aida, Traviata, Butter? y, Tosca and Ermione - while the name of the composer identi? es the product category to which it belongs, e.g. bottles, spray foamers and deodorant roll-ons.
The standout features of the new issue are its rich content and new-look cover. Ample coverage is dedicated to the latest innovative materials used by the Plastics Division, with particular attention paid to recycled resins, biodegradable resins and
bioplastics.
But that’s not all. The standard lines are beautifully presented in full colour to emphasize their creativity and win over consumers. And to further embellish the various containers the catalogue proposes ample possibilities for customization: from decorative motifs and a wide range of colours, to the ‘soft touch’ effect, which gives consumers a 360- degree sensory experience, and Braille inscriptions for the visually impaired.
To round things off in style, the catalogue presents some of the many products created by Bormioli Rocco for well-known brands in the beauty sector, an example of the group’s success in terms of models, materials, design, colours and communication capacity.
Passion for the product, attention to detail and a strong culture of research and innovation are the driving forces behind the new cosmetic catalogue from the Plastics Division.

About the Author

Are Wes Anderson films becoming more precious?

I love Wes Anderson films, especially rewatching each of his films in their Criterion Collection prints, searching for the little details, laughing at the in-jokes. Yet, I find that the progression of the films have moved from toward an over-fondness of preciousness. Examples include the stunted dialogue in Bottle Rocket becoming full-blown awkward distance in the Life Aquatic; the dizzying eccentricity of Rushmore looks tame compared to the production shots of Darjeeling Limited. I do know that favor Royal Tenenbaums to Life Aquatic, and Rushmore more than Tenenbaums...is it because as a fan, I'm used to Anderson's motifs, or is it become Anderson is becoming too much like the character he plays in his American Express commercial?

I too love Wes Anderson's films, and I know what you are saying. However, I think "The Darjeerling Limited" may be a step away from that. In the news today, Richard Pena (program director of the New York Film Festival) had this to say about the new film: "It represents a big step for Wes. I hate to use the word 'matured,' but the humor and whimsy he uses is sharper, better focused and used more effectively."

I am really looking forward to see it later this year.
