People who comes Alanya should consider to get out of hotel and take a look around. In my article as a native of Alanya i will write you alternative beauties of Alanya.

Go to centrum of Alanya. Ask for harbour, its so close to centrum. When you go to harbour you will see red tower. You can visit Red Tower and look at Alanya from the top of Red Tower. After take some photos you can goto Fishermans Caffe near Red Tower and taste some tea. Its cheap 50 Cent in 2009. After you taste tea and breathe some sea air walk to the center of discos. They are so popular in Alanya. James Dean, Bistro Bellman, Janus, Robin Hood, Zaph Han...

When you come to Alanya its a big mistake if you leave without visiting Castle Of Alanya. You can use Bus, Taxi, Rent Scooter or Car, if you are youth or feel youth you can also walk to go to castle. There are places to eat on castle. You can try turkish pancakes called "Gozleme". Dont forget your camera, i am sure that you will use it!

Lets goto Dim River and Dim cave. If i were you first i go to dim river, i order fish for lunch than i swim on cold waters of dim river. After eating fishes over river for lunch you can go to dim cave and see that natural beauty. While going to dim cave you will see many orange and lemon gardens. Its also worth to see.

One of the natural beauty of the Alanya is Sapadere Canyon. Huge water resource, its opened 3 years ago. There are also places to eat of drink.

You should also see cleopatra beach. Its good place to swim. Little crowded but its nice to be with people isnt it? In cleoparta beach you will see sport centers. Basketball, football, tennis... You can use these places... Basketball is free but you should pay for football and tennis. Volleyball is also free. Damlatas Cave is alternative places to go over there.

Its time to go to yacht tour at Alanya because there are many thing to see. i will tell you where they stops. First you will see historic boathouse (tershane). Then you will see pirate cave, after that you will see lovers cave enterance. You can climb there and goto exit of lovers cave. But you should jump from 7 meters to the sea. There is no exit except this way. After that you will see phosporus cave, you will learn why its called phosphorus when you see it. You will also eat pasta and chicken grill with salad for lunch.

Another alternative activity in Alanya is Scuba Diving. There are several companies serve for this activity. Its not important if you never dive with tubes. They will teach you how to do. After some education you will be ready to discovery diving. Potential things to see under water: Mediterranean seal, Turtle, Fish, Cave, Sunk Ship. They will take photos of you under sea. Lunch menu will be probably same as yacht tour. We like chickens.

Sealanya, its opened 3 years ago, located at Turkler county. Dolphin shows, Seal shows, You can also swim with dolphins, swim with tropical fishes. I know you will like it, also your children (if you have any) like to see there. If i were child i prefer to see dolphin show rather than to see caves.

Water Planet Aqupark, located in Okurcalar, its really funny place to go, remember me when you trying white kamikaze. If you are adrenalin sport lover there is a place for you. You can do Bungee Jumping! 70 meter. You have 2 alternative "Free Fall" and "Flying".

You can do Rafting at "5 mansion" (5 konak). You should goto some tour company to arrange this activity, when you goto centrum of Alanya you will see many of them trying to sell you that kind of activities.

You can also go fishing, most people dont know it but if you like fishing there are fishermans serves for fishing. They have boat and they know the place where you can catch fish. If you like this idea you can ask some local stores probably they know their cell phone numbers. i can give you their numbers here.

Paragliding and parasailing alternatives, you can do paragliding from hidirelles, start from the top of the hill and you see Alanya from the bird's eye view, it finishes on the beach. You can also try parasailing, water sport company serve for this activity, many of them have parsailing option. they connect you to jet boat with rope, then you start fying with parachute.

There are places for Motocross activity on plateau of Alanya, called red area(kizil alan). There is a company rent cross motors and helps you to do that kind of motorcross activity.

You see that you can do many thing in Alanya, limited with your imagination, I call it living in Alanya! So you do not need to pay a lot of money for 5 star all inclusive all in one hotels, get a room from apart hotel which located at the centrum of Alanya. Just use your hotel to sleep. Not to live. Historic North Wales: Castles and Castellated Mansions of Snowdonia

The age of chivalry to which so many Welsh castles belong evokes romantic images of heroic knights winning fair ladies' hands. But when you look at the design and construction of Snowdonia's medieval castles, it's clear this wasn't a romantic age at all, but one of hardship and brutality.

Snowdonia's castles tell the story of the region's struggles for independence from the English crown, and some of Snowdonia's best-known castles were built by the English king, Edward I, in an effort to subdue the Welsh.  

But the Welsh princes were also prolific castle builders; Snowdonia's Welsh castles provided protection and served as inspirational symbols of the Welsh struggle for independence.

In Victorian times, wealthy land owners looked to the past for inspiration in creating homes that portrayed wealth, status and power; consequently, Snowdonia is dotted with beautiful neo-Norman castellated mansions that ooze character.

1. Caernarfon Castle

Caernarfon Castle was arguably Edward's finest castle in Snowdonia, costing £25,000 to build - a vast sum in medieval terms. The bands of red sandstone built into Caernarfon Castle's walls are said to imitate the walls of Constantinople. Caernarfon Castle and town walls are a UNESCO World Heritage site.

2. Conwy Castle

Conwy Castle - another of Edward's castles and also a UNESCO World Heritage site - was begun at the same time as Caernarfon Castle, in 1283. It took ten years to complete the castle, which is built on a base of bare rock surrounded by marsh and water. The castle's eight fortified towers rise up over Conwy, providing stunning views of the town and surrounding countryside.

3. Criccieth Castle

Criccieth Castle is one of the great Welsh castles of Snowdonia, built by Llywelyn ab Iorwerth and later extended by Llywelyn ap Gruffudd. Edwards I and II remodelled the castle, and there is still dispute as to which parts of the castle are Welsh and which are English. Perched atop a rocky promontory that juts dramatically into Tremadog Bay, Criccieth Castle is a spectacular sight from ground level, and views from the castle across the bay and the surrounding countryside are absolutely breathtaking.

4. Harlech Castle

Harlech Castle - another UNESCO World Heritage site - has been described as "the definitive Welsh castle", although it was actually built by Edward I. Harlech fell to Owain Glyndwr in 1404, and was his headquarters for the duration of his uprising. During the Wars of the Roses Harlech was held for the Lancastrians, enduring an eight-year siege which inspired the song "Men of Harlech".

5. Castell y Bere

The ruins of Castell y Bere, near Tywyn, are often overlooked by visitors. But here you'll get a great sense of the history of this part of Snowdonia, and the might of the Welsh princes. From the remains of the rectangular tower you'll get the best views of the layout of the castle, and of Cader Idris, the brooding mountain overlooking the ruins.

6. Penrhyn Castle

Penrhyn Castle, just outside Bangor, is a castellated mansion which extends from the original medieval manor house in an extravagant display of Victorian wealth and status. Penrhyn's exterior is imposing and impressive; its interior beautifully carved and vaulted like a medieval cathedral. Penrhyn Castle also houses a wonderful art collection and railway museum.

7. Dolbadarn Castle

The remains of Dolbadarn Castle, near Llanberis, are an evocative sight. Built by Llywelyn ab Iorwerth before 1230, Dolbadarn stands in a strategically important spot, which historians believe was the site of a 6th century fortress. Dolbadarn is distinguished by its mighty tower, whose remains stand at 40ft. The floors have long since disappeared, but you can still climb the stairs to the top.

8. Dolwyddelan Castle

Like Castell y Bere and Criccieth, Dolwyddelan is a Welsh castle built by the Welsh. Dolwyddelan was built by Llywelyn ab Iorwerth, some time after 1200, and was defended against Edward I by Llywelyn's grandson Llywelyn ap Gruffudd. Like other Snowdonia castles, Dolwyddelan is in a beautiful setting with amazing views, so make sure you take your camera.

9. Bryn Bras Castle

Bryn Bras Castle, Caernarfon, is the work of Thomas Hopper, creator of Penrhyn Castle. Bryn Bras is privately owned and so is not open for visits, but you can rent a holiday apartment within the castle and enjoy a stylish break in beautiful and historic surroundings.

10. Castell Deudraeth

Part of the Portmeirion estate near Porthmadog, Castell Deudraeth is a 19th century castellated mansion built by David Williams, the first Liberal MP for Meirioneth. Castell Deudraeth was once used as a prep school, but in 2001 opened as a luxury hotel and restaurant. Visit Castell Deudraeth as part of your tour of Portmeirion, or book a table for a delicious dinner of local produce cooked to perfection by expert chefs.

paris hilton didnt even serve time practically. id really like to know what this "medical condition" was to let her out early and into home arrest. oh no! not home arrest in her 20 bedroom mansion in hollywood! not that! i'm sick of celebs like her getting let off the hook. i dont care if their name is more well known than mine or how much more money they have than me. they need to serve the same sentence as anyone else who has to. did you see hilton's mug shot? she acts like its a beauty pageant. i'm sorry to tell you babe..but...this is jail, not the red carpet. anyone agree?

I agree whole-heartedly. I was very disgusted when I heard the news that she was let out of prison. According to Yahoo News, apparently so is the Attorney who fought to have her in jail, disgusted with this and has petitioned the Judge who sentenced Paris to jail, to have Paris appear before him tomorrow morning 9:00 a.m. Los Angeles time in order to find out what this "medical condition" is and for her to possibly go back to jail (which I'm hoping for).

How many people have died in jail because they developed a REAL medical condition (cancer, etc.) and they were not let out of jail. This nonsense has got to stop with so-called celebrities. When all else is said and done & push comes to shove, we all put our pants on one leg at a time, so regardless of financial status, name, etc., we are all the same and should be required to be treated the same. No special privileges.
