How to strap a bag onto a bike rack?
Just wondering what people do to strap their every day laptop bags onto a bike rack. mine is rather non tradional, or rather it's very retro so most made for the rack bags don't work on my bike.
For everyday carrying of bulky items on a bike. Attach an onion/fruit and vege tray to your carrier.(light and almost no wind resistance.pvc coated wire)
Whatever your carrying usually goes in quick and easy. You hold it in place with an elastic strap or old belt. For a more fragile item such as a laptop add a thick foam liner.
If you have a spill, the laptops chances of survival are greatly improved if your not rolling on it.
I wouldn't advocate doing this to your training or race day bike. But for your humble commuter or sacrificial shopping centre bike it is the way to go. They are best a bit daggy so they will be there when you return.
