Here are some more information for Asian Tea:

Does green tea have caffeine in it and does green tea contain caffeine are questions that I am often asked by friends who are seeking to stay healthy. The reason these questions come up is because my friends want to gain the great benefits of green tea but without any adverse affects of caffeine.
Green tea is certainly not a new discovery it has been enjoyed for thousands of years in the Chinese and Japanese and other Asian cultures. The tea itself comes from the plant Camillea sinensis and has a history of being used for medicinal purposes.
Today anyone in the western world can brew a cup of green tea and gain those same benefits that our friends' from the ancient and modern Asian world have always enjoyed. What is more these ancient cultures have used this herb without knowing or even worrying about caffeine and what the effects are in the body.
So getting back to my original question, does green tea have caffeine in it, the answer is, yes. Knowing this could then lead you on to the question of how much caffeine it contains. To find out that answer, because it doesn't tell you on the sides of a packet, you need to do a little research.
I have done the research for you and what I found to the question, does green tea contain caffeine, was yes but not as much as coffee. This still is not good news though if you are a person that is sensitive to caffeine, as many people are.
Caffeine is a stimulant and a diuretic and can have adverse affects on some people. One of the well known side effects of drinking drinks containing caffeine is insomnia and headaches, due to is diuretic properties that cause more frequent urination and therefore dehydration. You can also get the symptoms of vomiting.
This is certainly a good reason to want to avoid any intake of products containing it but fortunately you don't have to drink the tea. Have you ever thought of taking it in a supplement form, this is usually kinder to your system as it is easier to digest.
Even better there are now supplements that are available that contain decaffeinated green tea ensuring that you get all the health benefits without any of the drawbacks.
This is exactly what I did when I asked the question does green tea have caffeine? I don't use any caffeinated products but I had heard so much about the health benefits that I wanted to be able to take it.
And so now when anybody asks me, 'does green tea contain caffeine' I can honestly answer them that no the green tea supplement that I take doesn't.

Chai Tea - The spices of life
Contrast to the Asian way of drinking tea without added ingredients, the European, India, and now American are drinking Chai, a creamy tea with many spices. Originate from India, the main ingredients are inexpensive black tea with cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, ginger powder, and black pepper. Sugar and milk are added before serving.
There are endless ways to make this tea. With the verity of tea choices today, this drink can now be decaffeinated using Rooibos or decaf breakfast blend. Black teas have changed over the years. The best tea in India comes from Darjeeling, Northeastern India. Due to top soil and high elevation, Darjeeling tea can stand on its own without any added ingredients.
Other Chai I have seen in the market are Pumpkin Spice Chai and Green Tea Chai. Sometime Latte is added to Chai referring to a creamy drink. Latte is an Italian word that describes a drink made of steamed milk. Listed below is a recipe calling for Chai tea. Try it and let me know how you like this Chai Spiced Tiramisu. If you are a tea connoisseur, why not make Chai with all of the best ingredients and add some spices to your life!
· Chai Spiced Tiramisu
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 3 drops of vanilla extract
- 1 cup marscapone cheese
- 3/4 cup water
- 5 bags Chai Tea
- 1 tsp. spiced rum
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 12 ladyfingers
Cinnamon/Sugar Mix:
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Beat egg yolks with sugar until creamy. Add vanilla extract. Fold in cheese until mixture is smooth and velvety. Bring water to a boil. Pour over Chai tea in a small bowl. Let steep for 2-3 minutes. Carefully dip ladyfingers in Chai tea. Place on bottom of clear bowl. Add 1/3 of cheese mixture. Sprinkle cinnamon/sugar mixture. Repeat this step 2 times until leftover cheese mixture is the top layer. Sprinkle rest of cinnamon/sugar mixture on top. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours before serving. Makes 8 servings.

I saw a drink called Calpico, in an asian food court....What is it?...Like bubble tea or something?
WOW. I had one just a few minutes ago and they are delicious. Unbelievable taste and they are just a ready-to-drink Calpico which is a non-carbonated beverage made from a high quality nonfat milk. Some of them have sweet and tangy taste with some hints of citrus and flavors of yogurt. They come in a variety and I chose Strawberry. In the strip mall I was at, they had one that was Mango and Aloe. I saw Lychee and another that look like a plain original one. For your reference they come in Concentrate and the woman behind the counter told me it is from china and japan. She told me their is some recipes that you can make. She gave me a coupon and I saw Raspberry CALPICO Smoothie, A Milk Shake, and Soy mix with apple in it. You can make Cocktails like Shochu, A misty Rose with Red Wine and Vodka Juice mix with Calpiico. I think she said their were Deserts you can make too, Like Bread Pudding she added. Try the other flavors and Good Luck to you.
