Here are some more information for Antique Asian:

Trying to spot 'real' antiques verses fake imitation antiques isn't actually that difficult if you know what you're looking for. Fake antiques, otherwise known as reproduction antiques, are simply items made recently but made to look as if they are antiques. Don't confuse reproduction antiques with collectables. Collectables are items that were made less than one hundred years ago but have the potential to be the antiques of the future.
When examining the item to determine if it is actually a true antique, such as a piece of antique Chinese furniture, or a Chinese cabinet, first give it the once over. The item's overall appearance should fit in with the time period in which it was supposedly made. Tool marks, oxidation of the wood, and aging of the joints or screws should all be consistent with the age of the item. If you are looking at a Chinese cabinet, for example, make sure that the screws used were available in China in the time period which the antique cabinet is said to have been made. If you learn some simple rules like that one, it is much easier to spot a real antique.
Next, take a look at the type of wood that was used in constructing the item whether it be European, American, or Chinese antiques. Different types of wood were favored during different time periods and different geographical regions. For example, walnut was popular with European. It was used for some Queen Anne tables and chairs. Mahogany was used a lot for mid-18th century formal furniture. It was also prominent in Chippendale styles.
Many antiques are made from oak. It was a very popular wood with European furniture designers before 1700, and again in the 1900s American furniture such as mission furniture and the Arts & Crafts period.
Pine was rarely used in antique furniture, or it will have been hidden in backs and interiors. Many pieces of Asian antique furniture were made from Elm. You will never see particle board or plywood in any European, American, or Chinese antiques. It did not exist when antiques were made! Asian antiques were also sometimes made from cypress wood, walnut, or rosewood. Some antique Chinese furniture was made from Southern Chinese Elm. Some parts of antique Chinese furniture was made from burl wood. You can become familiar with the different types of wood and what to look for before you begin your antiquing journey.

A Harmonized Display of All Asian Lifestyles – the Asian Civilizations Museum
The Asian Civilizations Museum is the most significant museum in Singapore, exhibiting a wide range of cultures, traditions and lifestyles of the Asian community that's very much a part of the country's history. The museum is managed by the National Heritage Board.
People who came to settle in Singapore over the last 200 years have brought various cultures along with them. Thus their customs are a mixture of uniqueness and antiquity. This is one of the key features that ACM has concentrated upon. You will therefore find that the collection exhibited in ACM has a variety of antiques depicting the traditions and backgrounds of natives coming from China, Southeast Asia, South Asia and West Asia.
The Asian Civilizations Museum’s focus is on the legacy of the Asian ethnicity. The first building, Peranakan Museum, situated at Armenian Street, has been painstakingly and carefully restored and it dates back to 1910. This museum is abode to the highly praised eternal exposition of the Peranakan Legacy, which displays the affluent heritage of the Peranankans from the Straits Settlements and the Indonesian Archipelago. The features include the famous batik, embroidery and beadwork collections. You also get a peek at the lovely silver and porcelain pieces.
Another wing of the ACM museum was inaugurated in February 2003 after massive restoration, and it is located at Empress Place. It covers three levels and showcases thematic colonnades that exhibit cultural heritage of India, China, Southeast Asia and the Islamic World. Modern exhibits plus the competitive and simple to understand technologies with educational essentials are cautiously incorporated into the colonnades. A center that is specially committed to the young visitors is also a part of this museum. The grand exhibitions can be displayed in the unique exhibition gallery. Value is added to these displays by the tassel events that depict the traditions and the customs.
While you are in Singapore on vacation or business, don't forget to take a step into the Asian Civilizations Museum. If you are staying at a hotel, Singapore attractions and activity details can often be obtained from the front desk.

Antique (korean movie) explanation?
i watched the movie yesterday...and got really confused...
what was the thing in the movie about the kidnapping?
so there were two different kidnappers who fed the kids cake? and one of them killed the kids...and that was the one jin hyuk caught?
i wish it had a more definite ending though...
does anyone know other movies like this? not necessarily gay but quirky and artsy? doesnt have to be asian...
Yeah it was a bit confusing. So the real kidnapper, the one who kidnapped Jin-Hyuk was the old man, the guy who unfortunately escaped coz everyone thought they had caught the right guy. I think the guy that Jin-Hyuk beat up was imititating the real kidnapper/killer. Wish they would make like a special movie to continue with the story, but then I don't know how the anime Antique Bakery ends.
P.S. Coz I forgot to add one Japanese movie, it's called Bungee Jumping Of Their Own. His gf dies and is reincarnated in one of his male students, coz he's a teacher.
Also you wanted to find Antique, the Japanese drama. They are on Veoh, under the name Antique Cake Store, but you have to install some kind of toolbar from Veoh in order to watch the full episodes. Just wanted to tell you.
