Despite all of this, the little village is still a hidden secret for international travelers. And although more than 1 million tourists come to see Neuschwanstein Castle every year, few know that the region offers hundreds of kilometers of hiking and cycling trails, exceptional local food and home-brewed beer as well as wellness offers and plenty of local festivals such as horse parades and local dress displays ("Lederhosen" and "Dirndl") always accompanied by beer tents and local music.
